A Momentous Occassion!!!
Meet Kyler Lee!! He has had hair that looks like this...for YEARS!!!!
However, this stall ward young man is going to be turning 19 this summer, and is preparing for his mission! In preparation for submitting his papers, he had to make a MAJOR change. One that we all knew would he difficult, but we had all been waiting to see the baby face we all know and love hiding behind the hair! Well the day came and Kyler and Karston made the weekend trip to visit us in Sierra Vista to hang, escape college, and get a HAIRcut! So we set everything up, and pulled out the scissors.
We tried going straight for the clippers, however it quickly jammed on his SUPER THICK hair, so I had to thin it out with the scissors.
Now isnt that a face that says "I completely trust this person cutting my hair?" Ya, I didnt think so either!! =)
We successfully thinned out ONE side. Yay! This may also be the last smile I was able to capture. Because Kameron had the brilliant idea to use the clippers on top too...but to just use the #8! I wanted to use the scissors and cut the top myself...and against my better judgment I listened to the husband and used the clippers. Never again Kyler...I PROMISE I will go with my gut next time. Kameron doesnt know anything!!! That is if you trust me a second time!! =)
He loves me!! And probably loves me even more now that I have showed this picture!! =) After all I am his favorite Sister in Law!!!!!!! And he cant argue with that.
We teamed up and Kam helped with the fade while I cleaned up the ears.
And here is the final product. No shower yet, and there was hair overflowing the garage...After losing 10 pounds, and about 5 years, we are ready to take his mission picture. Unfortunately, I dont have that picture. I really like how it turned out, I thought it looked great. Its a major change for Kyler, and I hope that he believed me when I told him that it really did look good. I believe that he called me a liar when I told him that. HA. Me loves you Kyler poo, thank you for coming and visiting us, dragging Karston along, and for allowing us to take part in your mission prep. We love you, and as excited as we are for your 2 year adventure, we hope the next few months go slow because I am going to miss the banter and squeezing those adorable cheeks! =)

Girls dont work!!
Was it hard leaving my littles at home? Yes! Did it stink that pretty much the minute Kam walked through the door after work, I walked out the door to GO to work? Yes! But it wont be this way forever. I just have to work more the first month to get in the swing of things, then I will cut back the hours to just twice a week. And they close at 9:30 during the week, so I wont be getting home too late. Which is awesome. Apparently Sierra Vista dies earlier then Tempe...so the hours are earlier. WOOHOO! Although I have done this before...I did it in the Ice age as far as production goes. So things are completely different now. They say its just like riding a bike...except this bike is WAY more high tech and fancy then the last one I rode. However, there are quite of few things that are so amazing and make things so much easier. So for those little things i am grateful.
When I was leaving yesterday Porter said the funniest thing to me. As I am gathering my things to leave he asks where I am going. So I tell him "Mommy has to go to work!" he responds..."In Daddy's police car?" Okay, this made me laugh. I then explained where I was going to work, and that I would miss him and be home VERY soon! He looked at me with this confused looked and said "But Mom, girls dont work!! Only boys work, like Daddy!" Oh how it breaks my heart to twist the good home value of being a stay at home mom and the man being the provider. The things children pick up on. I quickly put him to ease, that he would be home with Mommy all day just like always. Just to clarify, I dont think its bad for the woman to work...I know a lot of Mom's who work full time. This is just the perception of an almost 4 year old who's mom never left the house for "work"! Little does he know, I have always done babysitting and bow making on the side for extra money his entire life. It was just sweet to know that he was concerned about me not being home. He does love me. =)
And one last perk to going back to work part time...is the discount. Getting 50% off Outback food makes the whole working thing worth while. Oh how I have missed my discount. I hated paying full price for the past 6 years. No more my friends...no more. And I am not sure who is more excited, me...or KAMERON who will now get half price steak. But the best of all...I can now eat these lovelies...
Cheese Fries!! Do they have more calories then a 10 person feast? Absolutely. Especially when layered! But their cheesy, bacony, ranch covered heavenly wonderous...this could go one for a while....goodness!! So anyone who wants to contribute to our savings account, or cruise next month as well...please stop by and ask for my section...NEXT week. =) I dont make tips this week...=( Here's to being a Sugga Momma!!

Confessions...Quirkiness....Whichever...
Okay, so I was inspired by a couple fellow blogger/friends when they did this Confessions post. Kayla always makes me laugh, and so does Mary Anne...I laughed and thought that others may get a kick out of a few of my embarrassing confessions...so here goes nothing!!
1.) I have seen every episode of Friends...multiple times...and I still DVR them and watch them every day.
2.) If you ever see me around town and my hair is in some type of ponytail and I am wearing make up....I havent showered and my make up is from the day before. I ONLY wear ponytails/messy buns on day 2! And I never put on fresh make up if I dont shower. Gross I know. I wont blame you if I see you walking the other way at Wal-Mart.
3.) I can sometimes judge/be grossed out my people with gross feet. And by gross feet I mean, chipped polish, hair, jagged toenails...and here is the kicker...overly LONG toenails. This is terrible I know, but I am a foot fanatic!! You will NEVER see me wearing open toe shoes without painted (including design) toenails!
4.) When I am counting calories (like right now) I totally cheat when I eat cereal. For example it will read "Serving Size 3/4 cup = XXX calories" I consider a bowl full = to 1 serving...when in reality its probably 2 servings. I know, I am only cheating myself...and dont worry, I asked me...and I DONT even care!
5.) I sometimes secretly want a cup of coffee. I actually HATE the smell of it, taste of it, and am actually allergic to the beans! Then why would I want it you ask? Well when its cold, I see people out and about with their warm coffee and I want something warm and yummy to drink. Thats all. And I know what you are thinking...and to answer your thought...I HATE hot chocolate!!
6.) I am kinda stealing this from Kayla's blog, but I COMPLETELY agree. I absolutely DESPISE when I hear a Man with children say "I have to Babysit". Um NO! You have to be a FATHER!! Babysitting only applies to children who are not from the fruits of your loins!! Seriously ticks me off. Just because Mom's arent technically "Employed" we WORK, and work HARD, therefore being very deserving of a night every so often to leave the house and our husbands to "Babysit" their own children!
7.) Before leaving the house...I have looked at my butt in the mirror at least once...but truthfully probably more like 3 times!! Yes I have a butt complex, why must we torture ourselves by continuing to look at the thing we hate most about ourselves wondering if it looks "big, flat, saggy, wide...etc." And I like to make myself feel better my telling myself "Its not BIG, its just swollen!"
8.) I HAVE to eat Skittles, M & M's, Reese's Pieces, and any other small candy like that in an even number, and usually color coordinated. I will never eat two colors together, and wont ever put 3 or 5 or 7 in my mouth at the same time. 1 in acceptable if I have consumed the entire bag and the only last two are the same color. I will then eat them one at a time. (please refer back to the fact that I wont eat two of the same colors at the same time)
**Side note I also eat them according to "tasty" factor. I start with my least favorite, and save my favorite for last. The last taste always lingers...so why have it be lemon when it could be strawberry?!!
9.) I talk to myself...dont act like you dont!! If you have kids and are home a LOT by yourself, its bound to happen!! And I get quite a kick out of myself...you know, I am quite funny! If you dont talk to yourself...well, then you are probably not as funny as me! Facts are facts my friends!
10.) I canNOT fold cold wrinkled laundry! If its been in the dryer or put BACK into the laundry basket after drying and sits...I wont fold it until it has been refluffed in the dryer.
11.) When taking any sort of cough medicine, I gag and sometimes throw up.
12.) If I could have any job in the world, it would be work for the FBI as part of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU). As twisted as this may sound, crazy...disturbed criminals fascinate me, and I would love to learn WHY and WHAT makes them so deranged!
13.) Only those who went to High School with me probably know this. But I was in the band and played Flute. Is there a wimpier instrument to play? I dont think so. Am I oddly proud that I can still play the flute...Yes! I'm a dork, there you go!
14.) I am OCD when it comes to my house being clean, but my bathroom...is another story. Let me clarify before I lose any and all respect...my bathroom is CLEAN, but its just messy. Hairspray bottles, blow dryer, curling iron, flat iron...whatever I used to get ready the day before...is probably still on the counter top, and my clothes from my last shower are probably balled up behind the door. Ewww...
15.) I have always wanted to be a Princess at Disneyland...namely...Jasmine from Aladdin. I think back in my pre-baby tummy days I could have totally pulled it off!
Okay, so now that I have completely embarrassed myself I can stop. I hope none of you look at me differently now. But I dont consider myself crazy...just quirky!! =) And thats why that beautiful man I am married to loves me soo darn much!! Anyone who is brave enough....whats your confession??

Merry Christmas
This Christmas we got the best Christmas present of all...Kameron got 3 days off, two of which were Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!! Its a holiday Miracle people. So since we had the time off we headed up to St Johns to spend it with the Lee's.
We had to go throw out the reindeer food on Christmas Eve, so they could have a snack for when Santa comes...duh!!
The kids got really into it, especially Porter. Its such a fun tradition!
The kids (well Porter and I mainly) made Christmas Ornaments. Cutest faces ever!!
Anastyn in front of the tree Christmas Eve!
The Wise man all dressed up for the manger scene.

Daddy & Anastyn in all their cuteness!!!
Grandpa was reading the Christmas Story from Luke 2 while the kids acted out the Manger Scene! Hilarious! Baby Jesus was making a run for it, while Mary was refusing to face the camera!!
Little Miss Thang showing off her attitude!
During the White Elephant exchange, Anastyn was tastin Grandpa's hamburger!!
All the boys sportin their new sunglasses. I found fake Oakley's at some .99 cent store here in Sierra Vista, and they are the dang best imitation glasses I have ever seen. They were a whoppin $1.50 a piece, so all the boys got a pair from us. I know, we are big spenders!!
We also opened up our Jammies, and had to take pictures before bed!
Love this man!!!
Porter must have been a very good boy, because he got his Buzz Lightyear Karate chops that he asked for!!! He was soo thrilled!
Enjoying a cinnamon roll with grandma while we started opening presents!!
The kids in their PJ's! I didnt get a picture Christmas Eve.
She was a PRO with presents this year!!
Kameron showing off his beautifully wrapped present to Karston!
Porter got a remote control MONSTER TRUCK!!!!
And here is our OCD child lining up all of his toys as he opened them down the hallway. He is so funny. Anastyn went over and moved one, and he about lost his mind. I know you all are thinking he gets his OCD from me...well you would be 50% correct. Kameron contributed to the remaining 50%. Claiming half is a lot for me, because well Kameron, is a little out of control as well, that I think its more fair to call it 25/75! But I wouldnt change their sweet personalities!
We had a wonderful Christmas, and I just hope that we can have another holiday off atleast once in the next 3 years. We are so blessed beyond words, and this time of year is always my favorite because you realize the true importance of life, and become closer to the real meaning of Christmas....celebrating the birth of our Savior!!

Tis The Season!
....For riding in old fashion cars!!!
...And for being RIDICULOUSLY cute!!!
..And best of all...UGLY Sweater Christmas Party!!!
I know what you are thinking....And yes I know how absolutely stylish we look. Go ahead and be jealous! You should be!!
Had to get a little family picture to remember! =) And just for the record, to add to the hilarious factor that is...well us, Kameron is wearing a dickie...thats right people, they are still around!! I love you babe for being such a great sport and wearing this totally awesome sweater!! You rocked it!!

Here Comes Santa Clause...Here Comes Santa Clause....
...Making Anastyn SCREAM!!
Okay, so is this not the most priceless picture in the world!! Anastyn was ALL for going to see Santa Clause, she talked about it all day, we played it up so she would be afraid. And when we first saw him, she was totally fine. She even walked towards him...but the minute he moved...she wigged. Not just wigged, but WIIIIIIGGGEEEDD!! Kicking, screaming, flailing, the whole nine yards!!
I didnt torture her for long, and let Porter ask Santa for his "Buzz Lightyear Karate Chop!"
Then there was the ward Party. The minute jolly fat man came strutting in with his red suit...Anastyn started hyperventilating!! I did not torture her again, just the once, but Porter jumped at the chance to proclaim his "innocence" and prove he was a good boy and deserved the "Buzz!"
Funny story, Bro. Strong who was Santa for the ward party was also volunteering at Walmart for Salvation Army and was out ringing the bell when we went grocery shopping. I waved, said hello and walked in. Anastyn watched him like a hawk, and Porter just kind of stared but didnt say anything. Since he was wearing normal clothes, no red suit, I wondered if Porter recognized him. When we left Walmart he was gone, and Porter looked at me and said "Where did Santa go mom?!" So he DID recognize him!! I laughed and told him he had to go take care of his reindeer. Porter seemed satisfied with that, and we went home. I love the innocence of kids, and how much fun they make the Christmas season!!

Fun with new friends!!
December was full of hanging out with friends. Porter has made his new best little buddy here in Sierra Vista. Which I cant even tell you how grateful I am for that. After leaving Maricopa, begging to see his old friends made me sad everyday. So thank goodness for Parker. How cute is that, Porter and Parker. They play so well together.
We started off the holiday festivities with making Christmas cookies!!!
And as you can tell...the kids loved icing the cookies!!! Or themselves, whichever.
Cassidy, Parker, and Porter having a blast!
And here are the three goons at the Christmas Parade. It was actually a really great parade, with a lot of fun floats and a never ending flow of treats for the kids, so they were all perfect angels. What made this night even greater??? That would be eating at La Casita afterwards. Thanks Johnson family for spending the evening with us.
Thanksgiving 2010
I have no pictures. I was sick. Slept half the day, and did not have a voice of any kind! Kameron was able to work the later shift and was able to be there for dinner which we appreciated. My sister came down, and then that night my mom left to help my sister in law with her brand new baby. My dad left to hunt, so we had a pretty peaceful weekend after Thanksgiving.
This year was also my first run at Black Friday!! I went with my friend Nicole and we pulled an all nighter. Even though I was still sick, and had NO voice, I just used my cart to shove people out of my way. Ok I am kidding...kinda. But we took a 5 hour energy, and hit up Walmart at midnight. We got everything we went there for, and were done in record time. We then were hyped up on energy drinks, and had no where to go. So since Denny's is the only place open in the middle of the night, that is where we headed to wait til Target opened. We had so much fun talking, laughing, and getting irritated at the terrible 2am service. Not to mention getting hit on for having sexy phlem. The rest of the night was spent fighting Target, walmart once again, and then Staples. Standing outside Staples at 5:30am and coming down off our energy drinks was well...hilarious. I think the people around us were just as entertained by us as we were.
Thanks Nicole for accompanying me and even though we got more laughs then deals...I call the night a success!!!

Creating a "Butterball Turkey!"
So the question is.....Do wild turkeys eat POPCORN??
The answer is....Yes! Yes they do!!
Nothing is better then looking out the kitchen window and see your 3 year old practically hand feeding wild turkeys! NOT!!
I did spaz out a little, and ran outside to tell him to not let them get near his hands because they could bite him...and who knows what kind of diseases they could be carrying. So I told him to practice his baseball and just throw it. Needless to say, these turkeys are always in the backyard hoping for the day to meet the magical popcorn adorning child! This my friends, is why I love living where we do!!
November 2010 Happenings!
Daryl Worley came to Ft. Huachuca for a free concert, so since Kameron has NEVER...yes you heard that right...NEVER been to a concert we decided to take advantage and went. And it was awesome!! Kameron loved it. Its good ol' American Country, filled with American Conservative pride. We left with his new CD, and feeling proud to be part of this amazing country! Which is great because it helps my chances of getting him to another concert some day! We cuddled in the cold with blankets and sharing a camping chair, drinking hot chocolate, and enjoying eachother's company! It was a great night!!

Playing outside is one of my kids favorite things to do. And since November was still warm enough to run and play, we took full advantage!!!
Daddy explaining the rules of kickball!
And even a demonstration!! =) Yes ladies, he is married. And is ALL MINE!
Porter loves playing sports of any kind and is a total natural! He never wants to come inside. I love how 100% boy he is!!
And speaking of how BOY he is....this is what I found him in the other day...Anastyn's shorts! HAHAHAHA
He sure can rock the pale pink shorts!! I love my kids. They make life sweet, fun, sometimes stressful, but completely worth it.

First Visitor!!
The beginning of November my good friend and old neighbor Marrene and her kids came to Sierra Vista to visit us for the weekend! It was so fun to see a familiar face and spend some time together. We started the weekend with a trip to Tombstone! The kids LOVED it.
Well, maybe Anastyn didnt. Haha. Anastyn, Porter, and Wes at the Gun Show!!
Porter and his best buddy Wes!

Sad story, Marrene and I didnt get a picture of us together the entire weekend! But we had so much fun chatting, watching movies, and catching up. We used to talk multiple times a day, so after a couple months, we had a lot to catch up on! =)
And this is my favorite picture from their trip. They were so hesitant going into this cell because of the creepy eyed jail mate behind them. However, after a little bribing and well, me giving a little nudge, they started screaming. It was hilarious! And that my friends, is how you end up with this adorable picture!
Thank you Marrene for making the trip to visit. You were my very first visitor to good ol' Sierra Vista. I miss you as my neighbor, but am so grateful for your friendship. I know it will last forever! =)
