Thanksgiving 2009

Kameron had to work Thanksgiving day this year, and his family was in Queen Creek and my family was in Pinetop so we were on our own. Lucky for us our neighbors didnt have any family in town and they both are from out of state they were in the same position as we were. So we decided that we would enjoy Thanksgiving Day together. I made my VERY first Thanksgiving meal. And to my surprise, it turned out really yummy. The turkey was moist and delicious, the potatoes were great, and the honey glazed carrots were also tasty! Not to mention the other little odds and ends and desserts!! Why we had 4 cakes and pies for 4 people, we dont know, but we were stuffed when it was over!!

I am so grateful for this man!! He is seriously the best, and the greatest husband, not to mention how dreamy he is. I love him more and more everyday!! (even the days I'm mad at him, haha) And I am grateful for the two beautiful children he has given me!! We pretty much have the most gorgeous kids ever, they are just too precious!! (as said by their mother...My blog, MY opinion!! haha)

Baby sister was SUCH a good girl during dinner. She just jumped and played the entire time AND the whole time Marrene and I were doing the dishes!! She's such a doll!

Wes and Porter being the crazy kids they are. They just love eachother, and even if its only been a few hours since they have seen eachother anytime they do see eachother, the excitement will hurt your ears! haha. Thanks Peacher Family for spending the day with us, it made it feel more like the Holidays! You guys are such a blessing to us, and I am graterful we are neighbors, and such great friends!!


Wednesday before Thanksgiving we went out to Queen Creek before Kameron had to work that afternoon and had an early Turkey dinner with his family. After we decided to let the grandkids and Kyran open their Christmas presents because we wont be with them this Christmas. Anastyn opened her VERY first present EVER!!! And doesnt she look enthrawled?!

Until the paper made lots of noise and scared her.....

This face was followed by LOTS of screaming and crying. It was hilarious!!!

And here is Porter opening up his remote control Police Car. He has been playing with it non stop that the batteries are already dead! haha. It was a great Holiday weekend, and to top it off, I managed to get up all my Christmas Decor the day after and have been listening to Christmas music ever since!! Oh and Sunday night Kristen is coming to stay with me. YEAH! Not that all of you know who she is, but I do, and she is great! What a way to end this weekend. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!

Nascar Adventure

A few weeks ago a friend of mine said she had a couple extra tickets to Nascar that weekend, so I made a call, and Kameron decided to take the day off so that he could take Porter to see all the "Racecars"!
Porter wouldnt look at the camera he was so excited about everything around him. Since there were two adult tickets, Kamreon invited his friend Mike and his son Nathan to join them.

I love this picture!! Porter apparently thought it was loud while it obviously didnt bother Nathan, he's just enjoying his Turkey leg!!

Here's all the guys in front of one of the cars. Look at Nathan's cheesy smile, haha. I dont think these boys could have had anymore fun!! And I think the little ones enjoyed it too. =) (note the food there aparently came in massive sizes!)

Big thanks to Mike who took all these pictures, and Amanda for sending them to me. I sent a dead camera with Kameron. haha. I'm so glad Kameron got to get out and have some guy time and spend some quality Father and Son time. I know Porter LOVED it, and all he could talk about for the next week was "ascar" hahahaha. And yes, Kameron and I laughed everytime he said that. Despite the bumps and bruises Porter and Kameron cant wait to go back next year!

Then and Now

The other day I was going through my old blog posts from when Porter was a baby, and I wanted to compare their stats to see how different they are. And I laughed so hard when I realize now how FAT Porter really was, and how much smaller Anastyn is. So I thought I would throw in a bunch of pictures of both of them at 6 months old!

He was sitting up on his own. Anastyn isnt quite there yet. I think he had a "wider" foundation to hold himself up. haha.

They are looking more different as the days pass, but they are definately related. Anastyn has a darker complexion and hair, Porter has the lighter traits and those gorgeous greens. Although, they are polar opposites, they are both the dang cutest kids on earth!! I love you my babies!

First Tooth!

Anastyn's first tooth JUST broke through yesterday! WAHOO! If you click on the picture it will blow up and you can see how adorable it is. The other one next to it should make its debut at ANY time!! We love you baby sister.

2 1/2 and 1/2

Okay, so I am WAAAY behind on this post, but I waited until I took Anastyn to her 6 month check to blog her stats! With hunting and Halloween we couldnt get her into the doctor until this week. I cant believe that she has grown so fast. Where did my little newborn go? She LOVES to sleep, finally! She'll sleep the 12-13 hour stretch at night, from 7:30 to 7:30-8:30. And then will take two naps a day, totalling to about 4-5 hours. I know I know, she is a sleeper, and I LOVE it. She laughs all the time now, especially at her big brother. Porter is her favorite toy! haha. She rolls NON-stop that it makes changing her diaper quite the chore. Talking is all we hear from her. And these little squeals when she gets excited. Her vocals are so cute, but not so cute when its in the middle of Sacrament meeting or Relief Society! She is my little drool monster. Her two bottom teeth are JUST barely popping through. They have been coming up and going down for the past 3 MONTHS! Poor thing. The jumparoo is her favorite thing to play in. We started her on the solids and is gradually getting better at using her little tongue. But so far she LOVES carrots the most. She isnt quite sitting up on her own yet, which is wierd, but I dont really push her to sit up...so I should work on that. I think she prefers rolling all over the floor to get to things than to stay sitting on one place. She has gotten up on her hands and knees quite a few times now, that I think she will crawl a little earlier than Porter did. Then maybe she will be able to actually follow Porter around like she wants to. She is such a happy baby, and adds such a sweet spirit to our home. We love her to pieces and cant wait to see what her sassy little personality has in store for us. Kameron says constantly that he can already see the "drama" coming out. haha. Men! Anyways, here are the stats from her doctors appt:

Weight: 15lbs 15oz --50th percentile
Height: 26 inches --50th percentile
Head Cir: 16 1/2 inches -- 25th percentile

Her weight and height are perfect the doctor said. But as usual my kids with the "petite" heads. haha. Last appt she was in the 10th percentile with her head, which is what Porter was always in. Either way, she is beautiful, and we LOVE her!!

Now, onto the Porter man!! Everyday he never ceases to amaze Kameron and I with the things he learns. He talks NON stop, and can carry on a pretty good conversation now. I wont lie, the terrible twos are in full swing, but he has the sweetest and cutest moments as well. We find ourselves turning our heads so he cant see us laugh when he does something bad...but funny at the same time. He is still super accident prone and constantly looks like a beaten child. From scrapes on his chin from falling off a picnic table, to a bruise on his cheek from jumping and then falling off his bed. Despite the painful things he encounters, its amazing how tough he is and how fast he bounces back and is off doing the next crazy thing. Porter can now count to almost 20 in English, and can count to 10 in spanish. Yesterday he even surprised me and counted from 5 backwards to zero!! He is just way too smart for his own good! He has gotten SOO good at saying his prayers. I dont care that he repeats "Pease Bess sleep at night!" and "Please Bess food!" 10 times in every prayer, those things are important!!!! I will have to save all the cute things he says everyday for another post, because he is FULL of funny stories.

He is such a tank, that its nice to have a small little girl. He is already wearing 3T-4T clothes, and wears a size 9 shoe! We still have no idea where he got these genes! But Kameron keeps hoping for a football player, he might have just gotten his wish!! I cant believe you are getting so big Porter Monster!! We love you and are so proud of you!

Halloween 2009

This year for Halloween we had the cutest little Peter Pan and Tinkerbell in our midst! Porter actually understood what was going on and really enjoyed dressing up! Our great friends the Buchbergers came to join in on the fun!

Its been a fun tradition I hope doesnt end anytime soon! Thanks Justin and Cara for bringing Ryken and Cy out to join our little ones for all the Halloween fun!

My favorite Hunting Trip!!

Okay, so these pictures are WAAY out of order, but I am too lazy to fix it. So I'll just give a rundown of our trip to Sierra Vista for Kameron's hunt. Since they were hunting basically in my parents backyard, they were home for dinner and stayed at the house. It was great to have a husband for a few hours a day, and have him still have fun hunting!!


One of the nights we were able to go out with my best friends and their husbands. (starting left)Spencer and Marlee, Corey and baby Jordan, Kameron and me, and Kristen. It was so fun to catch up with old friends and see how much life changes in a matter of years! I love you girls and I am so glad our baby girls are all within 6 months of eachother!!

We were able to meet Miss Madison for the first time, and well Porter had fun playing with their dog Boomer...until he fell off the picnic table and took a face dive into concrete!! haha. Tough kid, here he is showing off his cool band-aid!!

On Grammy's lunch break one day we all went and met up with her at Peter Piper Pizza. Porter of course had a blast running wild. It wasnt busy AT ALL, so we could just let Porter run free and just keep an eye on him. SOO much nicer than the ones here in the valley. But when you take your eye of this kid, he makes his own fun! When you dont have a token to play a game you want...just climb on in and have some fun!! Crazy kid!!

Here is sweet Porter "helping" mommy do his hair. Although Mommy wasnt there to supervise, he did a FABULOUS job!!

I learned how to make these adorable beanies with the flowers!! I LOOVE them and am obsessed with making them now.

There were deer running through the creek behind my parents house, and I took a picture because well...the boys were out hunting these bad boys, and they were frolicking around the house. haha.

Porter on the way home. He was SOO pooped from playing so hard that his marshmellows didnt quite make it all the way to his mouth! What a little wierdo, but we sure LOVE him!!

Other fun things, my mom made Porter his Halloween costume. Porter locked himself in the backyard with a large bag of Doritos at 7:30am while Mommy was sleeping. haha. (my mom found him like 15 minutes later when she was leaving for work) Mommy locked herself AND Porter in the backyard just a couple short hours later!! (they really need to fix that stinkin door!!) I had to jump the wall barefooted onto large gravel to get in the garage. Having my husband for all three hours of church!! Relief Society WITHOUT a baby!!!

Some NOT so fun things, well jumping over the back wall onto gravel. Porter getting into lots of trouble...many times. Porter waking up at 6am or earlier EVERYDAY!! Kameron missing a nice buck opening morning. Having to leave and come home!! I want to live there so bad! Getting NO sleep... Nough said!

All in all, it was a great trip and we had LOTS of fun! Thanks Mom and Dad for everything. Cant wait to come back and visit again!!
