Pioneer Vacation

Every year we always head to St Johns for the annual 24th Celebration Pioneer Days! Kameron usually works weekends, but took off 4 days so we could be there for a week and enjoy all the festivities. Monday morning we headed up, and here is Porter traveling in style. Seriously, Kameron and I were thinking how spoiled kids are nowadays...we never traveled so nicely!! But he was so funny because since he was wearing the headphones...he had no sound control, so he would be screaming something at us without realizing it. It was really hilarious!!
Tuesday afternoon we took advantage of family swim and enjoyed the nice weather! Porter loved it and had way too much fun jumping in over and over again!!
Wednesday Kameron and I took advantage of having Grandma around and went to the Snowflake Temple to do sealings! It was so nice to be able to enjoy a morning at the temple with the hubs and to also go to lunch at Eva's...Super yummy Mexican food in Snowflake!! Its always nice to get out for some one on one time without the kids!! Thanks Karen, we really appreciated it!

Then Thursday we headed to Concho to visit with Kameron's grandparents, Grandpa Mel and Grandma Deana! We enjoyed the awesome weather and sat outside in their beautiful backyard and visited.
Grandpa had a back stretching machine thing (thats the technical term, haha) so Kameron and I gave it a spin. It hurt my head, but Kameron said it helped his back. Porter had fun chasing their dogs, and of course Kameron and I loved spending time with his grandparents. My grandpa died 10 years ago this summer, so I have adopted Grandpa Mel as my own, I sure love that man, he really is a great man with MANY talents! We love you Grandpa and Grandma, thanks for letting us come and bombard you with our crazy kids!!

Thursday evening we went to the chili dinner, and Ice Cream SOcial!! The best part of the whole celebrations...FREE ICE CREAM!! Porter enjoyed multiple cones and running around like a madman! This is the only picture I got from the social.
Grandpa Lee and Anastyn sound asleep!!

Whats a trip to Grandma and Grandpa's without riding the fun toys. Since the key to the 4-wheeler was lost...Boo! Kyler took Porter on many dirtbike rides! As you can tell Porter just cant get enough of the Vroom Vroom rides and NEVER wants to get off!!

Friday night there is the Campfire Circle. Everyone parks around this big circle and eats dinner with friends and family, it resembles back in the day when the Pioneers would park their wagons in a circle at night. It was windy as usually, so we enjoyed our food with a little boy scout pepper (aka dirt. haha) but it settled down and we had a lot of fun!

I just had to add, the picture on the bottom of Porter eating cake...I asked Kameron to get Porter a little piece of cake...and that honkin piece of chocolate cake is what Porter enjoyed!!

Saturday morning was the parade...but my camera was dead and I didnt get any pictures. So as soon as my mother in law sends them my way I will have to post them!! Here are just some random pictures of other things we did.
Played with lots of toys, made fried zucchini, and made smore and roasted starburst with Brant and Kacy instead of going to the dance!

Sunday evening we decided to go for a little walk with the family...and it turned into Longboard lessons! I had never done it before and niether had Kameron. But it wasnt as hard as I had expected and we all had fun taking turns.

Anastyn also decided this weekend that she wanted to be a THUMB SUCKER!! NOOO!! Every time we turned around she had that thumb in her mouth going to town. I do NOT want a thumb sucker. So I spent many days taking it away and putting her bunkie in! I finally got little gloves at Walmart that keep her from getting ahold of her little thumbs!!
Monday morning we headed to Pinetop to help my dad and brother install a wood floor in my family cabin's kitchen! My brother's family came as well, so Porter had so much fun playing with his cousins!!

And here is the finished product!! It looks SOO much better than before. The weather in Pinetop was so awesome that we did NOT want to come home. I love it there, and could stay there for weeks on end!!
Other fun things that we did and I didnt get pictures of were, the volleyball tournament. I played Tuesday and Wednesday nights...a total of 10 hours, and even though I was SOOO sore and we got 2nd (we should have won...the bracket play did NOT make sense) it was so much fun, and made me realize how much I love playing.
~Porter out running with the chickens!
~Jumping on the trampoline
~Seeing April's new baby girl!!
~Playing at the park where Porter ate it really hard...TWICE!!
~Eating at El Rancho!!! YUMMY!!
What a fun weekend and a great tradition my kids will be able to grow up with. Thanks to my inlaws for putting up with my little tornado running through their house all day long for a whole week!!

Oh Daddy!!

This is what our sweet baby girl looked like after Daddy dressed her!!

And this is what she looked like after she realized what she looked like!!

Oh Daddy, we sure love you anyways!!

On another note, Porter has decided now that he can open the fridge he can help himself whenever he feels like a snack! So I thought I would let him learn his lesson!!!
Unfortunately, he enjoyed it!! WHat the?!
And lastly, this incredibly disturbing picture of my husband was just too awesome not to post. I promise, he usually is and looks normal...most of the time! =)
However, Porter does look adorable!! I love my boys, even in their "unattractive" moments!!

Wrangler Butts Drive me Nuts!!

Miss Anastyn is 12 weeks today! I cant believe she is already almost 3 whole months. Time sure flies. I realized when I thought about doing this post, that I really dont take enough pictures of her. With Porter...well being Porter, he seems to take all the room on our photo card with all of his bizarre behavior. So...I whipped out the camera and did a little picture takin with my sweet baby girl! Seriously, isnt she the most gorgeous thing you have ever seen?? (as said by her mother. haha)
She looks so bored with me huh?!

Pardon the fuzzy head in the corner...Porter wanted in on the fun too!

My friend gave me these, and I thought they were so cute!! Gotta love them Wranglers!!

Anastyn Loves -
**Sleeping!!
**Playing on her blanket
**Watching her big brother be crazy!
**Her Daddy!!!
**the boppy pillow
**Going for car rides
**Her bottles and binkies
**and MOMMY! =)
Anastyn DOESNT like -
**when she has bubbles in her tummy!
**when she spits up
**her swing
**being hungry
**the sun in her face
**when no one is paying attention to her
She weights a whopping 11 1/2 pounds and we just love every square inch of her. Anastyn has had a harder time with the whole head control than her brother did, but she is getting better everyday. She is also talking more and more. I'll be doing something and all of a sudden I will hear a scream. haha. She doesnt talk as much as she just screams out. Rolling over is another thing she has mastered. From her tummy to her back she does all the time, but is having a harder time going from her back to her tummy. But soon enough I am sure. We love you Anastyn Marie and are so grateful to have you as part of the family!!

Long Lost Post!

This adorable kid is Ryken Holt, Porter's best little buddy! He turned TWO back in June and I just realized I didnt blog these hilarious pictires. So better late then Never!! We took the boys to Jeepers (formerly known as Jungle Jims Playland) so they could celebrate! And celebrate we did!

This is Porter and Ryken watching their Daddy's ride the bumper cars....even the "Big Boys" had their fun!!

We went on the train ride, and as you can tell, Porter did NOT like the wierd animal noises. haha.

They did like this ride though. So cute!!

Then there was THIS ride....

Cara and I took the boys on this, and did NOT expect it to be THIS FAST!! From the look on Porter's face, you can tell it was FAST. Seriously...we COULDNT stop laughing...not the best picture, but whatever...there were actual tears in my eyes I was laughing so hard! Thanks Cara for catching my NOT so graceful moment! haha

And here is Cara...I know I know Cara, you're mad at me for posting it...but seriously, why not have the world join in on our laugh. Someone had to post it!!

However, the next time Porter loved it. And as you can see...Mommy did NOT get back on. It was Daddy's turn.

Porter driving the truck!

And of course the Kameron and Justin had their fun! We were there a total of like 4 hours, and it didnt seem like it at all. It was so fun, and the boys seriously played til they dropped! Thanks Justin and Cara, and Happy Birthday Ryken, we sure love you!!

5 Whole Years! Can't Wait For Eternity!

Gina and I have been together for 5 years today. Of course I would not have remembered without her. Today marks the anniversary of our first date. It really only took one date and one kiss to have her hooked. What can I say! I love my wife so much. Everyone that knows her knows what a kind heart she has, what a wonderful mother she is, and most importantly what a wonderful wife she is. She loves the gospel and is raising our kids to love it too. Did I mention she is HOTT!. That is besides the point, but lets face it, her hottness is what gave the courage to call her in the first place. I just want her to know I love her. Here are a few pictures of our last 5.

Hippo Lee

Meet the newest addition to the Lee home!!

Hippo the Frog! A couple months ago I saw this little beast on the front porch...however he was like a quarter of this size. Then just the other night when I was coming home with a load of laundry from my neighbors house...he jumped out and scared the crap out of me. Then tonight low and behold, we see him once again snuggled into his corner right by the front door. He is a monster and these pictures do not even show how large he actually is. So here are a few more pictures so you can get an idea.

I couldnt believe he actually would touch it!!

Welcome home Hippo, as long as you eat all the crickets and spiders, we are happy to have you as part of the family!!

I'll NEVER run out of things to Blog about!!

So I have come to the conclusion, that having Porter as my child, I will NEVER....EVER...run out of things to blog about! With that being said, let me give you a glimpse into our eventful Sunday!!

4:45 pm Porter wakes up from his nap wanting a snack! So I give him some left over Popcorn from the night before!!

5:30 pm While starting dinner Porter approaches me saying "Mommy, nose hurts!" So I take a gander into his nostril to see a unpopped Corn Kernel lodged inside. So I tell him not to touch his nose and grab my bulb (nose sucker thing) and tried unsuccessfully to get it out. While I was trying to suck it OUT, Porter was busy sucking it IN! After a half an hour and many attempts, we decide we have no choice but to take a trip to Urgent Care.

6:15 pm Arrived at Urgent Care....and waited FOREVER to see the rudest doctor.

7:50 pm The oh so lovely doctor tells me that we are going to plug the other nostril and blow in his mouth to try and dislodge it. And if that doesnt work we will have to go to the ER. WHAT?? Two hours and a copay and thats all they are going to try?! Couldnt they have just told this to me when I got there??? I was NOT so happy to say the least, so I just didnt say a word, and after that lovely attempt didnt work (big surprise) I left really irritated.

8:15 pm Dropped Anastyn off with a friend so I didnt have to take Porter to the ER by myself (Thanks Heidi!!) and we headed to Chandler Regional.

8:45 pm Jack in the Box drive through to pick up some dinner.

9:00 pm Signed in to the ER and Porter enjoying his taco. (well half of it)

11:30 pm Porter mummy wrapped and FOUR grown men (all of good size) failed at the attempt to hold down my two year old to see in his nose. After multiple struggles, the doctor sees the Kernal that is now lodged as far back as possible.

12:00 am They move us to a room in the ER where its decided that the only way to remove this "snack" is to sedate my poor baby boy!! WHAT? I knew from the get go that this was most likely going to happen, but when its actually in the plans...I can feel the water works starting.

12:05 am The doctor breaks the news to us that because of Porter's "half taco" he had at 9, that we would have to wait a total of 6 hours in order to put him under. Which means it would be 3 am before they could even START the procedure. Oh man, here we go!

12:30 am Kameron goes to catch some sleep in the car (he had court at 9am) while I try to settle a two year old down enough to sleep.

1:30 am Spongebob finally ends and I am able to get my little man fast asleep!

2:20 am The nurse comes in to put in his IV. Big struggle, mad Porter, and a very tired Mommy trying to get him BACK to sleep.

3:15 am Before he was able to wake up completely they were able to put him under, and with a couple extra doses of what his funny male nurse called "milk of amnesia" he was calm enough for them to remove the large corn kernel from his poor little nose.

4:00 am Porter is awake, and NOT happy. While he was under we also had them remove an infected splinter we think he picked up last week in St Johns, and had just barely noticed.

5:00 am Porter gets a cute little lion for being so brave and we are finally discharged. It was light outside on our way home....uhhhhh

5:30 am Picked up Anastyn and headed home. Put the kids to bed and hopped in bed ourselves.
7:30 am Kameron wakes up to feed the baby and head off to court.
8:30 am Anastyn wakes up and decides she doesnt want to sleep anymore. Joy!!
So now its noon and Kameron just layed down to nap. Two hours of sleep in 48 hours makes you a little loopy, but I am so glad that Porter is ok. The little stinker. How can an innocent sunday snack turn into 12 hours worth of medical care??? However, I think Porter learned his lesson, and may now be permenantly damaged of any and all hospitals. But hey if that keeps his nasal passage clear, then so be it! There you have it folks...yet another story on Porter. I told Kameron that I could seriously write a book on all of Porter's little mishaps and call it "Surviving Porter!" Despite the craziness that is my child, we sure love him and he is seriously the funnest cutest kid around! We're glad you are feeling all better Monster!

Red, White, & Blue

We were home for the 4th this year because Kameron had to work all day. But luckily he was able to get home for a BBQ with some friends and to watch the fireworks. Here are Porter and Anastyn showing their patriotism!

Lady in Red!!

Porter was all smiles, as usual!

Showing off his Karate moves!!

Porter and Mom

Anastyn and Mom

Porter & Anastyn with Daddy!

Porter and Wes enjoying their rocket pops!

Then when all is quiet, we find the boys doing this....

..flooding the backyard and filling up the kiddie pool! Porter is way too dang smart that this is really scary! Seriously, a two year old should NOT be able to figure out how to turn on a hose and fill a pool!!

Porter mid-jump! It was so hott and muggy, the water probably felt great!

Porter's soggy bottom! Never did I think that I would need a swim diaper for an innocent BBQ!
After all the excitement, it was time for the fireworks! Since Peacher's backyard was now flooded, we headed across the street to our house and watched the fireworks from the comfort of our backyard!! I love that we have great seats, and we dont have to deal with the chaos of crowds! Porter loved the fireworks and would keep asking "Mommy, see it? See it?" and "Mommy, hear it? Hear it? Furworks"! haha. Thanks to the Peacher's for the yummy BBQ and company. Hopefully next year we can make it up to Pinetop like we usually do because Fireworks and sweating, just shouldnt mix!!
