Ostrich's, Goat's, and Birdie's Oh My!

Last week after spending a few days in Sierra Vista, we decided last minute to stop at the Ostrich Farm. I have lived in Southern AZ my whole life, and passed this place a million times, but had NEVER stopped. The Monster Bus Tours made us stop because Porter is OBSESSED with Monster Trucks. Unfortunately, it was a weds and they only do the tours on the weekends!
But they let us go in the truck so Porter could see how high it was, and he thought that was just as cool!!

Two of Porter = the Tire!!

Daddy with his kids!!

Porter LOVED feeding the deer. He would laugh because they would lick your hands! And when it was time to go I told him to say "Goodbye" and he did this...

Gave bambi a kiss! What a sweet boy!
Then we walked up to the "Hole in the Wall Gang" AKA crazy goats!!

I really should have taken a video. Picture all those heads going in crazy circles and trying to climb out the tiny holes!!! It was HILARIOUS! Because the holes would be empty...then when you got close enough, they would all pop out! I guess you had to be there. Anywho.. Moving on...

Porter was a little apprehensive because like I said...the heads were going nuts, but once he fed one, he wanted to feed them all!!

Look! It was a 2 headed goat!! Just kidding, there were two trying to climb out and fight over one hand full of food. Again, so funny!! (if you have been here, you know what I am talking about, if you havent...well you should go and see for yourself!)

Anastyn wasnt sure what to make of all the craziness.

And as you can tell, she wasnt as into it as Porter and Daddy were!

Feeding the Ostrich...not my favorite part. Look at how close the stupid thing comes to bitting my poor little man's fingers. And there were signs saying "YES OSTRICH'S BITE!!!" Well, then put up a brick wall or plated glass!! On a side not: Every single Ostrich needed a pedicure, I mean WOW, they had UUUUUGLYYY feet, paws, claws, whatever they are called.

"The little horsies" as Porter called them. They were really cute, but while I was taking pictures one of them was biting at me...haha. It made me jump!
At some point while Daddy was holding Anastyn AND the cup of animal food/grain pellets, the little booger slipped herself a snack!! It wasnt until a few minutes later that we noticed, and boy was she MAAAD when we took it away. Gross!!! But with everything that was layin around...I guess this was the least of all evils!

Then at the end you go into this caged area and open a little thing of "nector" and the birds fly around and drink it out of your hands.

What they dont tell you is that they also bite!! haha. I tried to take the cup from Kameron so Porter could hold it...and well, they werent liking that idea. Porter held the cup for all of 2 seconds, and when the first bird landed on him...he threw the cup and ran. haha. It was so funny!!

I gave the second cup a go, and well...the bird on my shoulder was there to stay and was WAY TOO CLOSE for comfort. I kept thinking it was going to bite my face! Even though I got a few bites and nibbles, none of them hurt and I still had fun!! I wish we would have stopped a long time ago. I cant wait to go back on a weekend to take Porter for a ride in the Monster Bus!!
P.s. If you go, remember to bring sanitary wipes and hand sanitizer. Lots of animal slobber will be remaining on your hands when you're done!! But completely worth it!

Where's my Baby??

Anastyn Marie will officially be 10 MONTHS OLD on tuesday the 23rd! Can it really be?? Does my sweet angel only have 2 more months in her infant carseat? 2 months until she turns ONE?? Which means, walking, talking, independance, and less of a need for Mommy!! I cant take it.

She's expressing just how I feel...."WHHYYYYY???" My baby is turning into a toddler more and more everyday!! I love you sweet baby girl, you are more special then you know!

5 Years into Eternity

February 10th was our 5 year Anniversary. Kameron being the sweetheart he is, booked a hotel room, and found some friends to watch the kids so he could surprise me with a little getaway. It was much needed, and completely amazing to do whatever we wanted whenever we wanted, and didnt have to be home at any particular time. It was so liberating!! haha

We started off grabbing some Taco Bell and then went and did Sealings at the Temple. It was such a great reminder of the promises we made to eachother what seems like yesterday!

Then we drove out to Old Town Scottsdale to check into our hotel. We booked it online, and we were a bit nervous because it was ALOT cheaper then some of the other places in the area. But to our great surprise when we got there, our room wasnt ready, so we got upgraded to the Suite for no additional charge! What luck!!

The comfy bed, it was all down pillows and comforter.

The Jetted tub

And the living area. There were 3 bath tubs, 2 flat screams, 2 VCR's, 2 Refrigerators, 2 microwaves, and lots and lots more. It was so nice, and we had plenty of room to spread out.
My friend Kacy finally had her sweet baby girl Parker Ainsley that morning in Scottsdale, so we were able to visit them at the hospital before we went to dinner. It was perfect timing, and she was so adorable!!

We went out to dinner at Outback, our Favorite!! And it ended up being super cheap because we had a $5 coupon, and they royally screwed up my meal, so it was FREE. Cant complain! After we walked Scottsdale Fashion Square (holy overload!! Way too overwhelming of a place for me!!) and Kameron bought me some perfume! I LOVE it, he was so sweet. Then we were off to have some dessert at a really cute place in Old Town called the "The Sugar Bowl".

We enjoyed our ice cream, made a snack/junk food run to Target and then went back to the room to relax and watch a movie!!
The next morning we grabbed breakfast, did a little window shopping, sat in the massage chairs in the mall, saw Dear John, ate lunch at Pei Wei's and then went home to our kiddos who we missed so much! It was such a great getaway, that ended too quick. Thanks to all who helped with our kids to make it possible. And to my dear sweet husband who planned it all and made it all happen. I love you babe. Happy Anniversary. Here's to many more happy years!

LOVE

Okay for those of you who gag at people gushing over their spouses in a blog then just skip this post!! This is MY blog and I LOVE my husband, and since its VALENTINE'S DAY I am going to send him a little LOVE shout out because like I said its MY blog and I'M the BOSS of it!! haha And when you really do have a great husband, you have the right to brag on them every so often.

So today is Valentine's Day, and we never really make a big deal of it, but I still think its nice to show and celebrate the love you have in your life!! So here are just a few of the reasons that I LOVE Kameron!!

* He really is amazing.

*He's the kind of man that works 40+ hours a week, and still comes home at night and helps with dinner, change diapers, baths, and will help pick up at the end of the night.

*He is patient! (most of the time)

*He is kind and in tune if I have had a bad day, and lets me slip away for a few minutes to regain sanity!

*He gives me the warm down blanket when we watch TV, and even though he might be cold...he will NEVER admit it so that I will be warm!

*When my feet are cold he lets me put them on his warm legs in bed to warm him up. (I mean frozen cold, I'm cold a lot!!) I dont know many people who would want cold feet on them, but he is always a good sport about getting me warm.

*He'll watch a cheesy movie on the Hallmark channel with me...complain the whole time, and then not fall asleep because he wants to see the end!! haha.

*He's a BIG kid!

*He'll run to the store at 10pm if I pout my lip and want Ice Cream.

*He does this rediculous dance when he is being goofy...and dont ever expect to see it...I think he would be too embarassed to do it in front of anyone else!!

*He always tells me I look beautiful...even when I so obviously dont!

*He's tries to love on me when I am doing my hair..or dishes. I actually HATE it, but its just one of those things that I will always laugh at after!

*He has a killer bod! And he works hard at it.

*He'll swing and play with Porter at the park.

*Wrestling is always going on at this house, and the body slam always brings the biggest laugh with the kids!

*Everybody loves him.

*The joker smile, nough said!!

*He is SO handsome!!

*He is always willing to help my family.

*He is a really good cook!

*He always lets me sleep in if he's home.

*He lets me pick the music in the car.

*He calls every friday at 10am to tell me he loves me!

*He researched online where to find these certain candies I LOVE that are apparently seasonal because he wanted to get me some.

*He loves me unconditionally, and I never have to doubt how he feels about me! I am one lucky girl to call him my Valentine!! I love you babe! Thanks for all you do!

Happy Valentine's Day!

A Special Experience

For one of our Anniversary activites I really wanted to go to the Temple because it had been SO long since we had been able to go together. So Kameron being the sweetheart he is, said we were going to do Sealings so we could remember all the blessings from when we were married 5 years earlier. I jumped at the chance because that is my absolute FAVORITE!! The temple workers were so cute when we said we were there for our anniversary and they were sure to tell everyone around us, which they all seemed to be very impressed. (and these are probably people who have been married for 50 plus years!! Whats 5 years to that?!) But it was still fun to get lots of smiles and congratulations!!

Well there was couple that was added to the session at the last minute who had brought the name of the wife's great grandmother. She shared with us that she and her family had been looking for 36 years for this woman. They had been able to find relatives ALL around her, but for some reason had trouble finding her. After following a prompting she had one day, she was able to find her Great Grandmother through ancestory.com, ending 36 years of searching! They were having her Great Grandmother Sealed to her parents. This Sister who had brought the name wanted to act as her Great Grandmother, but they needed someone for the mother and she asked if I would be willing. I of course accepted, and I cant even express how much of a blessing that was to my life! I have done plenty work in the Temple, but this experience was something I will NEVER forget. I could feel her great grandmother there with us, and could feel the gratitude she felt towards her great granddaughter for her diligence in finding out who she was so she could recieve these blessings. I could feel love from every angle, her grandmother, Heavenly Father's, Christ's, and this dear woman who was so happy to be doing this work for her ancestors. Tears came to my eyes, and me being the ball baby I am had teary eyes through the rest of the session. It was an incredible experience that I will hold near to me for the rest of my life. I was grateful to be part of it. Although we had never met, both she and I hugged and cried over this wonderful experience. I will never forget it.

I walked away fulfilled, and reminded of the wonderful blessings that Temples are. I couldnt imagine a bigger blessing on our anniversary, then the reminder of how blessed we are to be part of this Gospel. I love my dear sweet husband for taking the time to plan this trip to the temple for me, and for being there by my side through the past 5 years. I love you!!

Chick Flicks & Pedicures!

Last week was SUCH a fun week! I got out of the house a lot. Friday night some friends of mine here in Copa all went out to dinner and to see the new "When in Rome" movie. We started the night off at Red Robin.
Briana looking cute as always, and me...well yeah. She's leaving me in just a few short weeks, and I am not so happy about that. She will definately be missed!

Briana, myself, Molly, and Ashley. We had too much fun laughing and stuffing our faces. There is another picture with Sarah, and Stephanie there also after the movie, but Ashley's been slackin and I havent gotten that picture yet! haha. Even though the movie was way cheesy it was still fun to get out of the house with the girls!
Then Saturday night while my boys were at Monster Jam, Anastyn and I went over to Briana's house to keep her company since her hubby was out of town. We decided to do pedicures, but never got to the facials.

Briana being sneaky and taking a picture of me soaking my feet!

I get really into my pedicures if you couldnt tell!! I know, I look absolutely HOTT in this picture, but what can you do...nobody's perfect!! It was so nice to relax and unwind, and hey, pedicures are always awesome!! Thanks Briana for hanging out with me 3 nights last week, it was much needed. I wish you didnt have to leave me, but I guess we will just have to plan vacations! Because we all know that Todd and Kam wont last very long apart! =)

Little Boys and their Toys!!

For Christmas my good friend and across the street neighbor had a great idea to send the boys to Monster Jam! Of course the Big Boys (aka, Daddy's) were JUST as excited for this as the 2 1/2 year olds were!!
Kameron and Porter before the show started!

Porter and his best buddy Wes. Seriously...how HUGE are those Monster Trucks?!!

Grave Digger....Porter's FAVORITE one! He has it at home, and its always connected to his hand!

Enjoying the show! Kameron said Porter just stood there and stared the whole time, and apparently they had GREAT seats! I'm so glad they had so much fun!

Yes, that is my 2 year old eating sunflower seeds...SO his Father's son!! The show ended really late and they didnt get home until after 11! But the little ones were so wired and excited about the show they didnt sleep and laughed the whole way home. I dont know who I hear more from when it comes to Monster Trucks....Porter or Kameron?!! They both loved it, and I think it just might be a yearly thing! Thanks Marrene for having the idea, and Tim and Wes for keeping Kameron and Porter company! Here's to Monster Trucks!! Vroom Vroom!

Anastyn's 1st Dinner Date!

How sweet is this adorable little couple!! They pretty much lay there and poke eachother's eyes, but still its too cute to see them look at eachother like they are aliens!! Too bad her first boyfriend has to leave so soon!! We'll miss Little Kaiden Micheal!

Toofer Toofer!

I finally got a good shot of Anastyn's teeth! Seriously, could she have a bigger gap?? haha. I love it, and think that her chubbiness is the most adorable thing in the world!! See the two next to her front teeth breaking through? Almost here...and if you look really close...the ones next to those are swollen and coming down too! Whew...I cant wait for the teething to be over, but how cute is my little half toofer girl?!! There isnt anything cuter!!
