Our Little Pop Star
I have finally been able to catch Porter on camera when he is in his "Singing Mood". He is hilarious, and loves to sing. The other night about an hour after he was SUPPOSED to be asleep, I walked by and heard a little voice coming from behind the door. Kameron and I then stood at the door and laughed as he sang "Popcorn Popping...Popcorn Popping..tree!" We seriously LOVE this kid, he cracks us up every day. I just cant wait to see what our little Princess's personality has in store for us!!

9 weeks & Some Bling....
This morning Anastyn had her 8 week check (when she was 9 weeks old) and she is growing and doing great!! Even though she was 4 weeks early, she is in the 25th percentile for height at 21 3/4 inches....and the 50th percentile for weight at a whopping 10 lbs 7 ozs!! She has been a great sleeper only waking up once a night...and even doing a 9:30pm to 5am stretch. We are hoping that sleeping through the night is in our near future! We also took her to the mall and had her ears pierced. She is a lot like her brother and they are very grabby with their hands...and the older she gets the more I would worry about her messing with the earings... So we had them done and they look SOO cute. She did great and only cried for a minute. Good thing Daddy was there because Mommy was really nervous. I am glad thats over and now my little girl looks like a little girl even without her little headbands! Anastyn had an exciting day, and is doing great depsite all the pokes and being in town ALL DAY LONG! We love you baby sister, thanks for being such a wonderful baby!!23 June 2009

Gotta give credit......
To the Best Daddy in the World!!
Happy Father's Day Kameron!! I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am for you! You truely are an amazing Daddy. I am so grateful that Porter looks up to you so much and wants to be JUST like you. There really is no one better for him to use as a role model, and if he turns out to be like you, then I am satisfied! Anastyn even saved her first smile for you!! You are a constant help at home with the kids that I dont know what I would do without you. Sorry ladies, but I have the best husband around. He gets up with the baby at night (more than he should) and lets me sleep in every morning on his days off. Diapers dont scare him, and he will ALWAYS take Porter with him if he runs to the store. Both of our babies look just like his baby pictures, and I couldnt be happier! Not to mention, he will pick up my slack and cook if I am too lazy too! Even if I get dinner started, he quickly jumps in and helps (sometimes takes over, not that I care!!). And then there are the back rubs, he is so generous and will always rub my back at the end of the day when the kids are finally down for the night. But the best thing about Kameron is how much he loves our little family. He will call when he is pulling in so that Porter can come out and help him carry in all of his stuff, and trust me...when Daddy gets home is the biggest treat of the day for Porter. He supports and provides for our family, and loves all of us unconditionally! Thanks babe for being such a great dad and husband. We are truely blessed to have you in our lives!! Muuuahh! (that was from Porter!!)
Anastyn Marie Lee...

I had my neighbor teach me how to make this DELICIOUS frosting for the cupcakes, Thanks Marrene! And the cherry sours were the cherry on top, they were YUMMY, and there were NO left overs. =(
By the end of the night after hours of running crazy with all of his cousins, Porter was COVERED head to toe with sand! He is a tough kid, that the big kids were coming in saying that he was beating up on them. haha. Little turkey!17 June 2009

Not Always a Terror!!!
1.) He has GREAT manners! Whenever he wants something, he always says please. And every time someone helps him or gives him something, he says "O Tant You!" I asked him to be a helper and throw Anastyn's diaper in the trash can and he turned to me and said, "Oh Tant you Mommy, Oh Tant You!!" He was doing me a favor but was so happy that I was letting him help! And when his little friend Wes comes over, and when Wes hands Porter a toy, he will say "Oh Tant you Wessee!" I am a firm believer that manners are a MUST!!
2.) Speaking of him being a helper, he gets so excited when we let him help! Everytime he gets a blanket or throws a diaper away, or puts the binkie in Anastyn's mouth, he will look at me and say "Big Helper!!" And once a week when Kameron mows the lawn and does all the yard work, Porter is always out "helping" and will come and pop his head in the doggie door and yell "Mommy!! Daddy Big Helper! Big Helper!" and will repeat this til I confirm that YES he is Daddy's big helper!
3.) When he wakes up in the morning, the first thing he wants to do is give me a hug! I LOVE it. Then he asks for baby "sisser" and when he finally sees her, he will look at me and say "baby sisser so tute mommy, baby sisser so tute!!"
4.) When family is over to visit for the weekend, every night he HAS to tell everyone goodnight with a hug and a kiss! Last time Kameron's mom and brother Kyran were here, Porter went to give Kyran a kiss, and to a 7 year old boy its apparently gross! He looked at Kameron and was like "He just tried to kiss me!" haha.
5.) He LOVES LOVES LOVES my dad, AKA Tata!! Whenever I say Grammy...he will follow with "Tata?" And get so excited when he sees him and bugs my dad constantly to ride the "Vroom Vrooms" when we are there visiting.
6.) Every time Kameron leaves to go to Wal-Mart or where ever, Porter is guaranteed to go with him, and will say "Bye Mommy, Bye!" about a million times before making it out the door! Last Sunday Porter had a surprise in his diaper in Sacrament meeting so I got up to take him out, and he yelled "Bye Daddy, Bye Daddy!" until we were out the door. Not exactly reverent, but totally sweet!
7.) A couple weeks ago in Sacrament meeting, Porter was enjoying some animal crackers when all of a sudden I hear him saying (rather loudly) "YeeeeHaw" and when I look over to tell him to be reverent, I see him trying to sit on the camel animal cracker. When that didnt work he just pinched it between his legs and continued his "ride". I did try to get him to quiet down, but I admit, it was through laughter!
8.) Another during sacrament moment, I always make him sit and fold his arms for the prayers, and I put my finger over my mouth and tell him "Shhhhh, we're saying prayers". So the other night at dinner we sat down, and I was talking to Kameron before we said the prayer, and Porter looked at me and said "Shhhh Mommy, Pers" with his finger over his mouth! Lets just say Daddy had to say the prayer because I couldnt stop laughing at him immitating me!
9.) At night when its time to go to bed, he will find Kameron where ever he is and say "Monn Daddy, say pers!" (Pers is prayers to all those who arent fluent in Porter language) One night I was busy feeding the baby on the couch so Kameron went to put Porter in bed without me, and when Kameron walked out Porter started to scream. I asked Kameron if he said prayers with him, and Kameron realized he didnt, when he went back in and said prayers with Porter, he went to bed without a fuss. It was then that I realized that I may make a lot of mistakes as a mother, but I decided I have done atleast one thing right. I am so glad that he wont rest until we have family prayer!
10.) While driving in the car, he points out EVERY motorcycle on the road! And trust me, when you have a two year old looking for them...there are a LOT more than you will realize. He will seriously spot one from a mile away, and when it passes he will say "Mommy! Vroom Vroom Cycle back der, See it Mommy? See it?" And he will repeat this until I say "Yes, Porter! Mommy Saw it!" And last time we were in Sierra Vista my dad had pulled out an old picture of me sitting on a chopper (morotcycle). When Porter saw it he said "Mommy Vroom Vroom Cycle, Nice!" haha. Apparently I won some cool points with him from my younger days!
11.) When he eats something he likes, he will always go "Mmmmm, its nummy!"
12.) If he drops something or gets mad, he will say "oh dangit". Not the best thing he could have learned from me, but it could be worse, right?!!
13.) We were leaving the house one morning and I was running crazy trying not to forget anything and I made him sit down to put his own shoes on, and he looks at me and says "Oh gosh" as if he were out of breath and thinking "calm down Mommy!"
14.) I always tell him I love him by pointing to my eye and saying "I" crossing my arms across my heart saying "LOVE" and point to him and say "YOU!!!!" and his response is "I" "YOU" while pointing to his eye and me. Hasnt quite gotten the heart part, but I get the idea. It melts my heart!
15.) When he does something bad and earns himself a time out, I always make him apologize to me for misbehaving, or say sorry to whomever he was mean to, and last sunday when he threw a MAJOR fit TWICE in sacrament meeting I took him out and stuck him in time out in an empty room and closed the door. He did NOT like this and was screaming and throwing a tantrum. Then I hear him come to the door and through tears I can hear him say " I darry Mommy, I darry!" Then proceeded to come out and give me a hug and a kiss repeating "I darry" a million times. How can you want to strangle a child one moment, and they melt your heart the next?!!
16.) When we say "Porter lets go take a shower." he runs FULL speed to the bathroom stripping clothes off the entire way screaming "Dower, Dower!"
17.) And lastly, when its time to clean up I tell him to help, and he says "meam up, meam up" as they sing it in nursery!
Obviously I could go ON and ON about the adorable little things he says and does. But it just boils down to he really is sweet to the core. He just has more energy packed into that little body each day, then I have in a week! He is incredibly smart, to the point that its scary sometimes. He has a very laid back personality, that he doesnt throw fits when another kid hits him or takes his toy. He usually just walks away, and acts as if fighting over it is a waste of time. He is determined. When he wants something to work...stacking, fitting into something...he will make it work. And if he cant, he will find us and say "help you, help you" so we can help him make it work. Porter Grant may be a handful, but he is just the perfect example of a "Little Boy!" and Kameron and I both wouldnt want to change his inventive and creative way of life. It makes him Porter, and we just love him for it! We love you, and like it says in one of our favorite books, (my own version atleast) "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, My Monster you'll be!!"
Little Buddies!
Anastyn's new little buddy arrived Wednesday night about 9:45 p.m. My friend Cara had Baby Cy Buchberger 7 lbs 11 ozs and is healthy and adorable. He looks just like his big brother Ryken! We had to get a picture of them together, Anastyn was 7 weeks exactly in this picture, and it makes me sad that she is getting out of the newborn phase. They grow so fast! Congrats Justin and Cara, we love him already. And you never know...this could be a picture on a wedding video in about 21 years! haha!
And I had to add this picture of Ryken the proud Big Brother! What cute boys!!

Just BREEEAATTHHH!!!
7:30 am: Woke up to Anastyn crying ready to eat. I made a bottle and proceeded to debate whether or not I should let Porter out of his room, because I could hear him playing. Decided that I should let him out so he wouldnt destroy his room, and found him sitting on the floor reading books...WITHOUT...his diaper and poop smeared ALL over not only himself, but the carpet too! Immediate bath and carpet scrubbed followed, by a lecture on not taking off our diaper without Mommy!
8:30 am: Porter seated at the table about to enjoy one of his favorite breakfast meals...Oatmeal! Him being strapped in and the baby finally fast asleep on the couch, I took the opportunity to use the rest room, my morning weigh in, brush hair, teeth...etc! When I hear the clattering of a bowl hitting the floor! I thought, "luckily it's plastic"...and I was hoping it was empty! Well, apparently Porter wasnt hungry and felt that the oatmeal looked MUCH better in his hair, on his face, shirt, shorts, chair, table, floor, and in the dog's hair! AHHHHH!! A not so happy Mommy gave him a good scrub, lecture, swat, and timeout! When his two year old tantrum was over he was allowed out of his room and I proceeded to clean the floor...
9:15 am: While I was cleaning the hazzard that was breakfast the little monster sat on the couch watching cartoons. The little mastermind then deliberately snuck into my bathroom closing my bedroom door very quietly behind him without me noticing. After about 2 minutes of not hearing him laughing along with the cartoon...I thought "CRAAAAP!" and jumped up to find him. When I saw my bathroom light ON, and the door closed I knew it was trouble....and this is what I open up to see this......
Which quickly turned to this......
And ended with this.........
**Please feel free to click on the photos to make them larger...its then that you will really see how much lotion he managed to squeeze out of this brand new bottle of baby lotion!!!**All without me saying a word!! He KNEW he was in BIG trouble. At this point I had two choices! One: Breathdown, yell, scream, cry and so on! Or Two: Laugh and take a picture. So opted for the ladder because seriously, its one of those mornings that if you dont laugh...he may not live to see pre-school! haha. So back into the bath tub, cleaned up the bathroom, on to outfit number 4 of the day, I sit down to breath thinking "Is it 5 yet?" (when Kameron gets home from work) But to my dismay the clock reads 9:45 am!!!!!!!! Its going to be a LOOOOOng day........
So for those of you who think you have a handful of a child, I'll gladly trade you!!!

Happy Birthday SHOUT OUT!!!!
On Sunday, Miss Cara turned a WHOPPING 21 years old, again!! =) (Dont worry, I wouldnt tell everybody your age, haha) So to celebrate, we went out on Monday! We went with our hubby's and saw Ghost of Girlfriends Past, and then ate at the yummy Oregano's! And not only was it fun, but it was also without kids!!! Well...except for baby Cy, he hasnt made his debut to the world yet...but any day now! We had so much fun that we decided to not end her birthday celebration til July, by going to see a show together! I cant wait. Anyways, Happy Birthday Cara, you are the best friend a girl could ask for and we love hanging out with you guys! Anyone who doesnt know her should, you are missing out!! Love you Cara!!P.s. Porter just saw me posting this and pointed and said "Carwa" haha. Then looked at me and said "Ryken??" Evidentally he was missing a picture of Ryken...so here you go, a super adorable picture of her little man Ryken!!
And thank you Sarah, for watching my two crazy kids! I really appreciate it!!!
Whats life without Good Friends!!
We had to take a picture together with all three of our little girls! (Marlee's little girl will come out for the picture in about 14 weeks!!) Me and Anastyn, Marlee & Madison, and Kristen and Jordan! We had to get a picture of Jordan and Anastyn because they are only 8 weeks apart...and well Jordan did a little flailin, and karate chopped Anastyn in the face!
And here was her reaction.........
Hahahaha! We got a pretty good laugh over it, and unfortunately she wouldnt cooperate to get a better picture without her crying!
Later that evening Porter was out back playing when the sprinklers automatically came on, and well...obviously he didnt care that he wasnt swimsuit ready! This is one of his favorite things to do at home!! He was soaked, but he had fun.
And earlier that day while Daddy and Tata were "watching" Porter he split his chin open! He was supposed to be taking a nap, and so my dad and Kameron took the monitor in the backyard to finish some yard work, and well...the next thing they saw was this from inside the glass door! We still dont know how he got it, climbing out of the crib, or falling down the stairs. But other than the lovely new addition to the already scared areas of his face, he was absolutely fine! What a tough kid!
