Combined Birthday Party!

I know they are going to eventually hate the combined birthday parties, but for now, its way too convenient! Last Saturday, both Kameron and I's familes, as well as Porter and Anastyn's best buddies came over to celebrate the kids birthdays. (I feel like we have been celebrating all week long. haha. I guess thats what you get for having birthdays so close together!)
Porter and Wes enjoying their pizza and chips and salsa!

Anastyn LOVED pizza as well, and you can see my niece Brylin sneaking up in the corner to steal her pizza. haha Notice Anastyn's shirt I made her for her birthday! It turned out SO cute!

And this was the best I could get of her headband and flower with her shirt. She is smiling at her Tata!

The cupcakes for all the guests...

And here is Porter's Max & Ruby cake, and Anastyn's sprinkle cake! I saw this mold at Walmart at Easter and figured I would use it plenty so I bought it...and its already gotten lots of use!

Everyone sang to the kids seperately, here is Anastyn's birthday song...she wasnt sure what to think, and the fan blew out her candle. haha

Trying to figure out how to eat this thing....

...........just pick up the top, and stuff your face..........

........started off slow, tasting the frosting, but once she decided she liked what she was tasting.............
..It IMMEDIATELY turned to this...............

....and THIS!! She was histerical!!

She would even take a break and eat the frosting and cake off her hands!

Needless to say, my little princess wasnt ashamed to dig in, and took the free for all very literally! She was SOO adorable, and doesnt she look happy?!!

Then it was Porter's turn, and as you can tell...he just LOOVES his birthday now. He told me the other day that he wanted "another birthday". I told him he only gets one a year, he says "We can probably go to Wal-Mart and get another one!!" hahaha. He cracks me up!

Porter digging in! Or more like, just eating all the worms and only a little of the frosting!
And Porter and Ryken playing in the backyard after the party! Even though I busted my butt all day long to get the house and food ready, it was worth every second seeing my kids faces light up. Thanks to all the family that came from far away, and for all those who helped with food or paper goods! And to Justin and Cara for coming out TWICE this week to hang out. They are such great friends. Happy Birthday Porter and Anastyn!! Mommy loves you so much, and hope you had a great Birthday Party!

Porter's Special Playgroup!

I am part of a playgroup that whenever one of the kids have a birthday, we have a playgroup at McDonalds so the kids can play and we bring cupcakes. Since Porter was getting older, and the main birthday party was going to be just family, we decided to follow the trend and have a little cupcake playgroup for Porter so he could celebrate his birthday with his friends!
This is his shirt I made for his birthday! Cars of course! You cant see very well, but Lightning McQueen and Mater are on his sleeves, he thought it was pretty cool!! =)

Opening a monster truck launcher from Ryken! He LOOOVES this present! And I even caught Kameron playing with it! I married a big kid, and I love it.

Porter and his buddy Wes!

"Pretending" to blow out his candles, since it was McDonalds...no fire! But he did a pretty convincing job!

Anastyn enjoying a cupcake.

Then Justin and Cara came to hang out after the playdate, and the Big boys took the Little boys in dirt bike rides! Here is Justin and Ryken!

Porter and Ryken being goofballs! They are so cute together!

Okay, he was itching his eye, and I just happened to snap a shot and caught it...I didnt want to put it on the blog, but Kameron made me because he thought it was hilarious. Poor kid. haha

And Porter and Ryken loved to just sit on it. They didnt care that it wasnt moving! It was a great day, and Porter loved everything being all about him. Shocker! Thanks again for everyone that came, and BIG thanks to Justin and Cara for coming out and hanging out with us too. I wish we lived closer then 45 minutes. Happy Birthday Porter!

Fun in the Backyard...Or maybe Not!

The other day we had a drop in temperature, and we decided to finally let Anastyn roam around outside with her brother!! And this is what I found them doing. She LOVED it!! Until Porter took the wheel......

...Judging from the look on her face, I dont think she trusts his driving skills! hahahaha

And it quickly turned to this.....

So being the adorable big brother he is, he decided to teach her how to drive!!

But then he hugged her, and it was all............

...................OVER................
............From there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So much for the fun playtime in the backyard! haha. Kameron was giving me a hard time because she was screaming and I was just taking pictures laughing. Such a mean mom I am. O'well, she still begs to go outside every time Porter is out there. You think the girl would have learned her lesson! I love my kids, they make me laugh!

Mommy & Son Date

A few weeks ago, I wanted to take Porter to the movies to see "How to Train your Dragon" before he turned 3, because at 2, he is still free. So Porter and I went to the 3D showing one afternoon and he absolutely loved it. The preview at the beginning freaked him out, and he totally wigged. But after talking in the hallway and carrying him into the theater, I was able to get him to sit down. This is how he sat for the first 35 or more minutes. Didn't touch his popcorn or icee. He was so enthralled with the 3D and huge screen. He did fabulous, ate all of his snacks, and sat through the entire movie. He didn't get antsy at all. It was so fun to get out with him for the day and make him feel special. When there is more then one kid in the picture, sometimes we forget to take time aside for each child. I think we will have to make this a tradition he and I! I love my little man so much.

As I am sitting here, he is telling me about the "TV at the Mall with the MoNsTeR on the screen!" Apparently it was the monster that freaked him out. Love this kid!

Happy Birthday Anastyn!

I cant believe that one year ago today this picture was taken, the night before I went into labor. Less then 24 hours later, April 23rd 2009 at 12:27 pm, we introduced our precious baby girl into the world! Anastyn Marie Lee. She has brought so much joy and life into our home, that our days would be so dull without her!
This was our first family picture. (without Porter of course, he was at home)
Anastyn only 5 days old, and back in the hospital with jaundice. What a horrible night!

But at almost 2 weeks, she is healthy as can be!!

12 weeks old!

4 months old!

5 months old!
6 months old!!
9 months old...

Her first black eye, at 11 months old!

And my sweet little Missy at 1 year!

I cant believe that my baby is a year old. Where has the last year gone? Its so crazy to think that I have a 3 year old AND a 1 year old. But there is just something so special about a little girl that I cant even begin to express. Even though she has her sassy moments...quite often to be more exact...having a little girl is so fun. We laugh at the drama that shines through already, and we can tell what we are in for in the future. But her sweet moments are far more then the hard. She LOVES her big brother, follows him around everywhere. She loves waffles, hot dogs, crackers, and anything she can beg off of her brother. She WILL scream (not cry, but just make a loud AHHHHHHH) if she doesnt get what she wants, or if she is being annoyed by Porter (which this happens multiple times a day!!). She loves bathtime, and taking showers with Mommy. Unfortunately she LOVES her thumb. But most of all, she loves her Mommy! No matter what I am doing...if her eyes see me...she will put her head down and crawl full speed and chase me down saying "ma-ma-ma-ma". I love having a momma's girl, its so fun that I finally have a child that will crawl past daddy for me! Porter was a complete and total Daddy's boy, and still is. I cant believe how big she has gotten, and it literally makes me so sad that my babies are growing up. Its such a scary world, that I wish I could keep them little and safe forever. I love you Sister Girl, you are mommy's little angel. Keep growing big and strong! We're so proud of you!

Little Piggies!

I absolutely love this little girl! I mean, just look at her. How could you not?!

Kacy Hughes Photography - Couple Photo Shoot

Kameron and I were lucky enough to win a photo shoot with a good friend of ours Kacy Hughes. She used us as guinea pigs before, back in 04 and 05 when she did her very first ever engagement and wedding pics! It was so fun to hop in front of the camera for her again! She's great! Click on her name for more of her work! Here are some of the shots she got. The one above is my favorite!!!

I love the antique look of this picture!

We did a lot of smoochin'!!

I wasnt kidding...a LOT of it!!

And this picture is the coolest with the lights and colors! Thanks Kacy for allowing us to be your guinea pigs!! You know we're up for it anytime! =)
