So I found this Heritage thing online and it made me very curious about who Porter looked like more. Some people say he looks like me, some people say Kameron. Well Here are the results. I guess he is a pretty good dang mix of us. Either that or we look a lot alike. I still dont think he looks like me, but I guess I have to admit that I am wrong. He looks a little more like me that I thought!!

Happy 1/2 Birthday!!!
Porter Grant Lee is now 6 months old!! I cant believe how big he is getting. We had his 6 month check up and he did SOOO well. He is 19lbs 9oz (that was with a wet diaper on) and is just over 28 inches long. Which means he has gained almost 13 pounds and grown 10 inches since he was born. No wonder he is such a good sleeper...he is growing like a weed!! He went down in the weight scale, he is now in the 90th percentile for weight, he was in the 95th at his 4 month. And he went UP in the height scale, he is in the 95th for height instead of the 90th last appt. So he is a big kid and the dr said he looked great. Porter also had his shots! =( Last time he had his shots he screamed murder for like 10 straight minutes after making all the little children waiting for the dr scared! So this time I was bracing myself. I had him already dressed, just rolled up his shorts, scheduled his next appt before so that I wouldnt have to stand there trying to talk to the receptionist over his lungs. Which is impossible by the way! And gave him lots of tylenol in advance. Well the lady poked him 3 times, and he of course started screaming, then when she ws done I picked him up to cuddle him expecting the worse, and then all of a sudden he stopped crying. I was SHOCKED! So I gathered my things and walked out. He even smiled at the receptionist on the way out! He didnt make a peep after that. Just played in his carseat until we got to Sams Club. I was so proud of him. I told him that is he were bigger than we would be going for an Ice cream cone. I guess we will have to put that on hold until next year!! Anyways, he was such a trooper and I wanted to share with everyone how great he did at his 6 month check up!!
Of course no blog in complete without pictures. So yesterday as I was walking my friend Marlee out to the car I had given Porter a sucker (still in the wrapper) and he was biting away at it. Here he is loving his covered up sucker....

Well after a little while we thought that maybe Porter was getting some flavor from the tootsie pop because he was really going to town. So I took it away and gave it a sniff...then a lick...and sure enough...FLAVOR GALORE!! No wonder he was enjoying it so thoroughly!! So I decided he had had enough sucker and this is what he thought of mean ol' mommy for taking it away....
And of course this face turned into screaming, but I didnt take any pictures of that.
OH! I almost forgot. Porter's first tooth broke through yesterday! YEAH!!! Maybe he will be happier now that it has finally stopped toying with him and finally came through! I am so excited and he seems so relieved that its finally here. I tried to take pictures, but him being 6 months wouldnt sit still very well and kept licking my finger covering up his tooth. So here is one attempt at a picture bit its really bad. The little glowing white spot is the tooth in case you were wondering...

Alright, long enough. The END!!

Coyote Calling...

Yesterday Kameron and I went out Coyote Calling. I know I know...you are thinking "Gina? Coyote Calling?" And yes, I did go. And it was kind of fun. BUT...we were only out there for about 30 minutes! haha. I am glad I went and got to spend time with Kameron without the baby, but at the same time I probably wont be the first one in the truck to go back out. Kameron told me to sit VERY still and just move my eyes. Problem #1: My hair kept blowing in the wind and getting stuck in my nose, so naturally it was getting really itchy. And twitching my nose only brought momentary relief. Then there was the calling part. I started laughing because it sounded like a 2 year old found a Kazoo and went crazy. We had no luck with any coyotes, but its because Kameron said we didnt have enough time.
So we decided to check and make sure that the scope on his gun was on target for his hunt next weekend. I was actually a pretty good shot. Problem #2: ringing ears. This gun wasnt the loudest one we shot, but it definately made my ears ring, and I HATE that. We were aiming at a rock about 300 yards away and I got within a foot of it. I actually got closer than Kameron!!! I know I know...I didnt hit it, but hey I have only shot a gun a hand full of times in my life. Plus that that gun was heavy and was hard to get steady on the target without a stand. Thats where we lead to problem #3: the kickback. I guess I didnt hold the gun firmly enough on my shoulder and it kicked a little. Not a lot, but enough to make my shoulder a little sore. Kameron even admitted that his was a little sore too. (something that probably wouldnt have been mentioned if he were with the boys)
Then Kameron shot his glock, an incredibly loud gun! I hummed to myself while he shot because I didnt want my ears to ring worse for the rest of the night. That is why I only posed with this gun instead of actually shooting it. haha
I did shoot this gun after I bought it for Kameron for his birthday a year and a half ago, and it made me bleed. Something with the barrel popping back or something. None the less...if something makes me bleed, I'm not likely to do it again. Its not called being scared, its called being smart!!! I learned my lesson. Well we had to pack up and head home because our friends Meagan and Abe were nice enough to watch Porter while we went out and we had to go pick him up. Kameron decided to take us on a short cut home. AKA- very scary steap road!!
This picture doesnt really do how scary this road was justice. I kept reminding Kameron that we had a 6 month old waiting for us that we had to return to. He then proceeded to remind me that he grew up driving this way...which is when I reminded him that I DIDNT grow up driving this way, and he knew that before he brought me. haha. Well obviously we made it down the scary mountain and home safely.
Which brings me to this last picture of me being home safe with my little Po-Po. It was an eventful evening and I am glad we went. I wouldnt mind going again, but there is NO WAY I would want to do that ALL day. I'll stick to shopping and scrapbooking with my mom while the boys go hunting. And despite what everyone else thought, me included, Kameron said that he liked going with me. I thought it was going to be like Bill Engvall and his joke about taking his wife out hunting with him. But it turned out to be fun, and the ringing stopped shortly after leaving. Well thats my story of my first time Coyote Calling. You might want to ask Kameron, his version might be slightly different! =)

Veggie Tales!!
Porter is going to be 6 months on friday, so I figured one week wouldnt make a difference. We started off with carrots as you can see and he absolutely LOVED them. He was going nuts trying to eat the spoon. I just couldnt seem to feed him fast enough. Porter is just the cutest thing ever and I know I am slightly bias, as to the fact that he is my flesh and blood, but seriously...people actually tell me this. ha-ha. I just thought I would share him making a complete mess out of himself with his first time eating baby food! I am such a proud Mommy that my little boy loves his vegetables.

Turley-Lee Reunion
So this weekend was a busy one here in the Lee household! Kameron's family drove down from St Johns friday afternoon and we all met up and went out to a YUMMY dinner at Outback Steakhouse. Then the boys went to Cabellas and the girls did what we do best...went to the mall! =) Saturday morning we had family pictures done and it was really fun. I thought it would have been more of a process, but Porter for the most part did really well. I am very excited to see the end results, and have this moment in time captured in a picture! (That comment was for you Grandpa Kevin! ha-ha)
Then directly after that we were off to the Turley reunion. Kameron's grandmother Nedra was a Turley and passed this past February, so it was fun to go and visit all of Kameron distant relatives. It was filled with lots of food and talking. Porter of course made the reunion brighter by blowing bubbles of spit and laughing at the right moment when everyone else there was quiet. We all had a good laugh at our little goofball. But our day wasnt over yet......

After the Turley reunion his Uncle Richard was nice enough to invite over the whole Lee family for a Lee family reunion. It also was filled with lots of food and cake. Our immediate family huddled around the Fire Pit in the back yard and talked. I guess Porter wasnt enough to keep us entertained so Uncle Reed stepped in! He definately kept me laughing at him while he "carved" a pumkin out of a newspaper while behind his back!
I know this picture is slightly frightening, it was double exposed or something. But he looks like the morphed bionic man! Just had to add it for the laugh factor. Anyways, here are a few more pictures of that night...it was definately entertaining watching Kameron and Reed hard at work displaying their wonderful art forms.
Not the most flattering picture I have ever seen of my husband! lol
Again, probably not their brightest moment! They were being so goofy!
Finally not a scary picture...Kameron and his mommy!
And last but not least, Aunt Kamarie after a lot of patience, pacing, bouncing, and swinging she was able to make little Po-Po fall asleep after such a long day!
Well that was our saturday. 9 AM to 9 PM. It was long and very tiring but it was well worth it and was a lot of fun!

The Many Faces of Porter Grant
Our little Porter is getting so big and his little personality is coming out so much. He makes the funniest faces and he knows he is funny. Kameron and I are constantly laughing at a new face he has discovered. He will definately be the clown of the family, we can feel it already. I captured just a few (these arent even all of them) of his hilarious faces that he makes everyday. We just cant get enough...it should be illegal to be this cute!
