Our Wedding Day

I saw this on someone else's blog and thought it was fun...and I'm bored!

1) When was your wedding day? February 10th, 2005

2) What day of the week was it? Thursday

3) Did you get married in a church? No, Mesa Temple

4) How many in your wedding party? 5 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen

5) How many guests were invited to your wedding? the actual ceremony there were like 35, but to the reception we sent out a ton of invitations...close to 500 between both our families...crazy i know.

6) How long did you date before getting engaged? Exactly one month...whirlwind I know. But we had both been in kind of crazy previous relationships, that when we met...we were like "So this is how its really supposed to be?!" It made us really appreciate eachother! We both knew right away.

7) How long did you wait to Tie The Knot after your proposal? 6 very long months....

8) Who did you hire as your photographer & videographer? Our friend Kacy did the wedding, and Kameron's mom got a lot on video.

9) Did you have a DJ or a band? my friends dad who always DJ'd for church events did the music.

10) Did your father walk you down the aisle? There isnt an "isle" in the temple.

11) What color were the bridesmaid dresses & groomsmen vests? bridesmaids wore a cranberry color, and the guys wore black suits with a black tie.

12) Who was your Maid Of Honor/Best Man? we didnt really have one.

13) Did you have a Bridal Shower? Yes, and I remember getting mad at Kameron because he showed up at the end and opened one of the gifts that had lingerie in it, and put it on in front of everyone...I was so embarrased I could have killed him. My parents were there! But everyone else found it hilarious, and I do now too!

14) What type of limo did you get? Limo? Who needs a limo when you drove a 94 honda accord?!!haha

15) Where did you go for your Bachelorette/Bachelor Party? I didnt have one, some friends and I just went out to dinner. The night before I spent running from grocery store to grocery store looking for the roses i wanted for my boquet...I totally forgot to get them from costco that morning before I went through the temple. We finally found them at 11 pm at a Bashas in Chandler...Very stressful, I dont recommend!

16) What type of wedding gown/tux did you two wear? A beaded sash dress that gathered at one side and swooped down, it was beautiful! Kameron wore a blacksuit with a black tie.

17) How was the weather? a little chili before, and it was starting to sprinkle at the temple, but them didnt rain until Kameron and I got to our hotel...kind of romantic..added to the excitement! ;) But it was really cute because my niece Brooklynn, who at the time was 2, got really upset at the temple when it started to sprinkle, and came running to me saying "Aunt Gina, Oh NO, You're gonna get your Princess Dress wet!!!" all while throwing her head back with her hand on her forehead as if she were about to faint. So dramatic, but so cute!!

18) Where did you go on your Honeymoon? My parents cabin, not too exciting, but we didnt have a lot of time off from school and work. We went to Vegas for a week for our one year and had a ton of fun...I consider that our Honeymoon!

19) What was your favorite part of your wedding day? Being surprised because Kameron and my Aunt secretly conspired against me and rented a really nice room at a resort in Chandler...we were planning on staying at our Condo, but before the luncheon he took me to the condo to pack...My Aunt had gone to the room before us and set out candles, with rose petals everywhere, and a bottle of cider chilling on ice! So romantic, it was perfect!

20) How long have you been married? just over 4 years.

21)What was your favorite part about planning the wedding? Dress shopping...what girl doesnt want to try on a ton of beautiful dresses and have everyone tell her how great they all look!?!

22) What was your least favorite part of the planning? Having to wait 6 months for my parents house to be done so family from out of town wouldnt have to rent hotel rooms...and the house wasnt even done by the wedding!! That and since we got married close to Valentines Day...the Stake Center was booked and we had to have our reception in the really old chapel in the not so greatest part of town!!!

It's A Girl Celebration!

Yesterday my good friend Marrene threw me a Baby Shower. My mom and Amy (sister), along with Karen and Kamarie (mother and sister in law) made Cafe Rio for everyone to enjoy! And enjoy we did!! There was such a great turn out, and it was so fun to see all my friends and family that I sometimes dont get to see very often. There were over 20 people that showed their support, and I have all the adorable clothes to prove it!

A snap shot of everyone enjoying the yummy food!

Karen, Kamarie and Paxton, and Shara and Mykah. I wasnt that great at taking a ton of pictures...oops!

Showing off the adorable tutu my friend Amber made...seriously, isnt it cute?!!

My niece Jadie doing a much cuter job of sporting the tutu!! Cant wait til my little girl can wear it!

Me being incredibly hideous, yet very excited for the bedding my mom made me! Seriously, could I have a more talented mother?! I think not! Totally custom, we picked out the material and she whipped out the bumpers, quilt, bed skirt, crib sheet, curtains, and boppie pillow...all to match! I cant wait til Porter sleeps in his toddler bed so I can set it all up!

Just a few of the adorable outfits I cant wait to put her in! Thank you to everyone who came to make this day so special, especially Marrene who made the cutest diaper cake, cupcakes, invitations...and much more. I am so grateful to have such great friends and family. I am feeling a lot more prepared now, and I am getting really antsy to meet her. I will admit I am slightly (okay a little more than slightly) freaked out that the ultrasound lady was wrong and a boy will pop out after all this cute pink stuff, but I am trying to tell myself that mistakes like that dont happen that often anymore! Either way, the shower couldnt have gone any better and I cant wait to have everything ready for our little addition!

The Royal Treatment...

Despite the fact that I took Kameron's birthday thunder by having my shower that afternoon, I was determined to make him feel special! So since Kameron's mom was in town, we woke up and made him breakfast in bed!

Kameron still half asleep from getting home from work at 3am!!

Once we brought Kameron his food, Porter wanted to eat with him...so we brought in his chair and let him sit by Daddy! Kyran wanted to join in on the fun, so they all ate breakfast and watched cartoons!

Later that night after all the madness calmed down from the shower, we went out to dinner with my parents, my sister and her kids, and Kameron's mom and brother. We went to Kameron's choice...Outback, for some yummy steak! It was delicious and Kameron seemed to really enjoy it. Happy Birthday babe, I hope it was a good one!

Happy Birthday Love!

Tomorrow March 28th is the 26th Anniversary of Kameron Grant Lee! Happy Birthday Babe! Porter, Baby Girl, and I all love you so very much and want you to know that we appreciate all you do for us!! You are a wonderful husband and father, and we couldnt possibly ask for better. Just for fun, let us take a walk down memory lane so all can see where our kids get their good looks!!!
Kameron at 20 Months...seriously, adorable!!!

............................................At age 5 1/2

.....................................At age 9

......................................At age 14

..................................Age 17....notice how throughout his life he did not have an awkward stage?? Not fair! I had my awkward stage for like 10 years, but I guess not all of us are as fortunate to be stinking good looking our entire lives! (of course I know I am a bias opinion, however...my blog, my opinion!! =)

And I had to post atleast one picture to embarass him! Kameron at 18 "tipping" his hair. I guess that was all the rave back then!

Me changing Kameron's life for the better! haha. One of our engagement pictures.

Kameron we hope you have a great birthday, you deserve it. Keep up the good work and thank you for being the wonderful person that you are. You never meet a person who doesnt like you, and thats what I have always loved about you. Happy 26th Birthday...You old man!!
unrjejnksmnjdtrjhgdtjhjhmgfmmn bmgfnmtkmtkmgfm, gfnkmfdd ngkmnhb - Translation...I Love you daddy!! Love Porter

This is why I love the kid....

Porter was being quiet...and this is where I found him....
In my closet giving his baby sister's shoes a test run!!

Anyone else reminded of Cinderella's glass slipper??

The sweet taste of success. He was so proud he got them "on"! Although he is my little handful, I seriously wouldnt have him be any other way. Because if it werent for him...my blog would never be interesting!!

And this is the moment....the ONLY moment where he is not getting into things.

My little zombie and his million "neet-nee's" (blankies) that he must sleep with every night. Gotta love this kid!

Happy Birthday to ME!!

So today was my 24th Birthday! Its funny as the older you get, the more its just another day. This year we didnt plan anything special because we thought Kameron would be working for most of the day, but we found out this weekend that he was working graves. Which meant he would have the whole evening off! So we got a babysitter and we headed to Chili's for dinner. Thanks to some coupons I had we got a free appetizer and free dessert! As seen above, the Paradise Pie was truely paradise! This is my favorite dessert, so needless to say I only ate half my dinner to ensure planty of room for my yummy treat!! We did a little shopping afterwards, and ended the evening with a relaxing foot massage from Kameron before he had to go to work. It was a great day, and I am thankful for such a great husband who let me sleep in and spoiled me all day! And thanks to all my friends and family that remembered me today, all the texts, calls, and emails brightened my day!!

Quick Unexpected Vacation...

Wednesday night I made an impromtu decision to make a trip to Pinetop. My parents were headed up, and since Kameron was working so much..I figured why not! I had been sick all week (and still am) but I thought the break would be nice and Porter would have so much fun playing with Tata. I decided to go about 5, and I was packed and on the road before 6. The weather was so nice, and it was great to just relax and not do much. I only took two pictures the whole time, and they were of Porter riding the "Vroom Vroom". He is OBSESSED with motorcycles, 4-wheelers, and dirtbikes so he was so happy to be out with my dad, and their dog Bronx, riding. He was not so happy when he had to get off. The first thing he would ask in the morning was to "Tata go Vroom Vroom?!" It was a fun trip and I am so glad I went...even though coming home Saturday was hard since Kameron didnt go with me. But as always Porter and I both missed Daddy, and were so happy to see eachother when we got home. Once again Porter was spoiled rotten with eating whatever he wanted and getting toys at Wal-Mart, that all he has been doing since we got home is asking for "Ammy (Grammy) and Tata". But thats what grandparents are for, right?!! Thanks Mom and Dad for yet another fun couple days...wish I could have stayed longer.

17 March 2009

Almost 32 Weeks....

I cant believe that we are almost there. Time has just flown this pregnancy. Maybe its the fact that I never get a spare moment to think about it because Porter runs around like a crazy person everyday. But worst case scenario I will have this baby is only 8 weeks...WOW! Best case scenario...I will either have her sooner...or in 8 1/2 weeks. As I have said before, I have had to schedule a C-section for the 14th of May! However, I met with the last doctor in my practice (there are 3) and she said that although one of the other doctors wont allow me to have a VBAC, that she thinks I can do it. So if I hit my 39th week (the day before my c-section, and my doc leavinig the country) and if my body has made progress...dilation, efacing...then she may let my regular Dr. go to Rome, cancel the c-seciton, and she would let me try to have this baby VBAC! YEAH! I was so excited to hear that. So we are praying that my body progresses early, so we can avoid the c-section. This last shred of hope, really has me looking forward to that day rather than dreading it like I have been. And even though it means waiting longer than the 14th, it would be SO worth it to have a quicker and easier recovery. So keep us in your prayers that I can go into labor early!! Other than that everything is going great. I feel great and cant really complain. Well, my allergies suck and always turn into a Sinus Infection...and there isnt much I can take which STINKS...but if thats all I have to whine about I consider myself lucky!! My last check up went GREAT! She said that I am having the "picture perfect" pregnancy, as far as vitals, measurments, and weight goes. So I was happy to hear that. My goal is to not pass Kameron on the scale this pregnancy!! (Not that its that hard..haha, kidding babe...kinda!) And I am happy to say that I do not have any water retention as of yet either. It has made being pregnant SOOO much more enjoyable. Just for kicks, I will show you a comparison....

On the left we have my ankles at ONLY 28 weeks pregnant with Porter, and I know its hard to believe...but they did get bigger, ALOT bigger, and YES it was very very painful! And on the right we have a picture of my ankle at 32 weeks with this pregnancy. I might be going out on the limb here, but I would say that I have a MUCH easier time carrying a girl than I do carrying a boy! Its disgusting I know, and most people who see this picture do not believe that it was actually my foot. But trust me...when my dr saw me for the first time at 35 weeks..she also couldnt believe that they were attached to my body either. I dont know what the difference is, but I am truely grateful that I am not retaining water this go around. After my first I wasnt afraid to say that I hated being pregnant, but if my second pregnancy were actually my first...then I can understand why people like it. And after seeing the picture above...I am sure you can understand why I hated being pregnant. But there is the update, and especially seeing my sister's baby girl, it makes me SOO SOOO excited to meet our little princess and bring her home. I cant wait to see Kameron's heart melt in her hands!!

*A*Love*Hate*Relationship*

This past week has been HORRIBLY LONG! My poor little Monster has been SO sick. He showed signs of a fever Monday night before bed, so I put him down with some Ibuprofen. He woke up and was acting a little whiney, then would just start crying and we couldnt console him. THIS IS NOT MY CHILD! He doesnt cry. We figured out it was his stomach, because we couldnt even hardly touch him. We made an appt with his pediatrition, but decided a trip to Urgent Care would be easier and quicker because it was right here in town. So I headed out while Kameron stayed home to watch our neighbors little boy who we were babysitting. I was the first one in the door when it opened, but didnt even make it through the paperwork before he lost what seemed like a weeks worth of food ALL over me and everything around us. Luckily there was one lady (the only person to not spread like wild fire) who helped me clean myself and Porter up because seriously..there was no way I could have done it alone. Oh the joys of being a mother! We finally were seen, and we find out he has an ear infection, fever of 102, and the 48 hour flu...which comes with severe abdominal cramps. Poor baby!! A couple perscriptions later we were home, showered, and finally smelling clean!

Here is Porter eating his "poppet" (popcicle...this one is pedialite) as he calls them. I think he ate 5 or 6 each day.

Then Kameron and I were laying on the couch and fell asleep while Porter was eating some cereal and watching cartoons on the table in front us... when I realized I fell asleep I woke up in a panic to find my little man like this! How sweet is he? Poor thing saw us napping and wanted to join. Anyone who knows my kid, knows this does NOT happen. He has only fallen asleep somewhere other than a crib 3 times ever....

...2 of the 3 times were on the same day. Here he is earlier that morning sacked out while watching Elmo with me in bed. Never before has he ever slept in our bed, he just wont do it. I hate when he is sick because I feel so helpless and just want to take away his pain. But at the same time I LOVE it because he is SOOO not a cuddler, he never has been, even as a baby. He likes to be left alone when he sleeps, and down exploring when he's not. But the past two days he has been laying and sleeping on me more than he has in the past two years. So that part was great, and I totally ate it up. We made it through the painful 48 hours, and today he was finally feeling somewhat better. I am thinking he will be 100% tomorrow.

And here is Porter almost back to being his crazy self. I'm not exactly sure what he is playing...but he lined all the chairs up and I think was pretending he was driving. haha. What a crazy kid I have, and I am so grateful he feels better. But I am going to be anxiously awaiting for the next flu season so I can have the chance once again to cuddle and hold my little man, that he in no other circumstance will allow!

ABC..123...

There have been a few pictures that I have wanted to post, but hadnt gotten around to, and I also wanted to document some really cute things that Porter has been doing lately so that I dont forget and so we can look back and laugh at later. Lets start with Pictures shall we..?

A few weeks ago, Kameron's sister and her husband came out to return some stuff and I was excited for Porter to get to hang out with his only cousin on Kameron's side of the family. And I wanted Porter to hold a baby for the first time to see how he would do. Well, just take a look at how it went....
He basically screamed the minute we set Paxton down, and wanted him OFF! haha. Hopefully he gets over this very soon, and will be willing to love his little sister! We may be in for quite the treat in just two short months!

Here Porter is just being cute! He is notorious for stalking everyone and anyone that has food...regardless if he has eaten already or not. He always wants to "hep you" eat!

Here is evidence of him mooching come cereal off Tata last weekend. He seriously LOVES my dad. Its hilarious. He is so spoiled by Tata that he was the first person he looked for every morning this past weekend that they stayed with us. My dad gave Porter a few little motorcyles and he carries them around with him EVERYWHERE! Even when we were at the hospital visiting my sister, in the waiting room (its RSV season) he found this magazine and wouldnt put it down. Thats right, a motorcycle magazine. He would have the magazine in one hand, and his motorcycle in the other...in this picture, he is riding the bike ON the magazine. Porter is such a boy, and we just love him to pieces.

Porter is also talking up a storm lately. He can pretty much repeat anything we ask him to say, and everyday he says something new. I really have to watch what I say around him though because this past weekend without thinking I said "Dang it!" and he started repeating that instead of his usual "Oh Man!" I got him to stop, but the next night while brushing his teeth I dropped his toothpaste and he said.."Oh Dang it!"....oops! Its so hard not to laugh sometimes, but I am having to get really picky around this kid because nothing gets past him.

One of his favorite things to do is count. He has been doing this for a few months, and I have tried to get it on camera, but he gets stage freight and wont do it. We got it on Kameron's phone, but havent downloaded it yet and he is still acting super funny in it. But he counts to 10, then will try to count fast and will make it to 5, then skip to 7 and then hits 10 with a lot of excitement! I am still working on 11 and 12 before we get into the teens, but he just likes that TEN and thowing his arms in the air. My next project is to teach him to count to 10 in espanol!!

Singing is also one of his favorite past times. He loves "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam" because when he says "sunBEAM" he gets to jump. But his favorite song is the ABC's. I also have yet to catch it on video, but it really is adorable. He just started singing along with me one day, and I couldnt believe how much he actually knew of it. Leap Frog toys rock, because seriously since I have realized he knew his letters, I hear him singing along to his little Leap Frog table that sings the ABC's all the time.

Porter has also been in his "No" phase once again. He briefly went through it...then went through the "Yeah" phase (which was MUCH cuter by the way) and has parked back in the NO zone for now. He says NO even when he means yes, its really funny. But the other day Kameron and I were driving, and he saw a police car and said "Daddy Work?" But I told him that No daddy didnt have to work, that he got to hang out with us ALL DAY! But he kept repeating it over and over. So I finally asked him "Do you want Daddy to go to work?" and he said "Yeah!" which made us both laugh because he NEVER says Yeah anymore. Its always NO! Poor Daddy, but Porter didnt know what he was saying Yeah to! He has just had things change the past few weeks with Kameron's work schedule. Kameron is usually gone when he woke up, so all he knew was daddy coming home...but now he is home in the morning, and we wave to daddy everyday when he has to leave for work. So Porter knows Kameron leaving and not coming home anymore. It made me sad at first when Kameron would walk out in his uniform, and Porter would automatically say "Daddy Work!" But it just made me realize how much he is comprehending now.

Porter has grown up so much in the past few months it makes me so happy I am having another baby because Porter is a toddler..not a baby anymore and it makes me so sad! He really is so smart, and I just feel so blessed to have such a bubbly little boy with a huge personality. Kameron and I laugh at his goofy expressions everyday and dream of what kind of personality our little girl will have! I love being a mom more than anything, and there is nothing more rewarding than to see the impressions I am making on him (except the few bad habits he has picked up, haha) and to see him learn, grow, and develop.

Baby Brylin has finally arrived!!!

Unfortunately this is NOT our baby girl, my sister Amy finally had her little angel. After weeks of contractions, a lot of waiting, and a night of no sleep, she made her appearance at 3:46 am. Even though we were all tired (especially Amy) we were so glad to meet this little baby girl. Despite a lot of complications, she came out healthy as can be. She weighed in at a WHOPPING 9 lbs 4.5 ozs and was 20 inches long. Amy did so well, and I think surprised herself. This is baby number two I have been able to see be born first hand, and although it is not the most beautiful event, its so exciting to see those chubby cheeks after all the waiting. Welcome to the family Miss Brylin, we are so happy to have you.

Proof of the big baby!!

The proud brother and sister.

Me and my new niece, pardon the haggard hair and make-up..it was 4am!

Nana and great granddaughter Brylin.

Home Improvements...

Okay so over the past week I have been reading this book...and honestly have loved it. Kameron thought it was going to be a bunch of hoo-ha, but agreed to take the quiz so that he and I both could find out our "Love Languages" and learn how to show one another more love. There are 5 Love Languages and they are: Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Recieving Gifts, Acts of Service, and Physical Touch. The gist of the book just talks about how every individual feels love and gives love in a different way. My primary love language is Words of Affirmation. So for example, Kameron coming home and acknowledging how clean the house is and just simply thanking me for the effort it takes and took for me to keep it clean...means WAY more to me then if he came home with flowers. Anyways, Kameron was a trooper and read the chapters that partained to me, and I did the same for him. Although, I dont think that its completely accurate and that you cant rate someone's "Love Language" off 30 questions, the concepts and ideas for how to show love in a way that will mean more to your spouse are great! And honestly, the concept makes total sense!! I know you all think I am the perfect wife and that I have absolutely NO flaws (please sense my sarcasm...I'm laying it on pretty thick!) but I have really been making an effort over the past few months to improve in the areas that I know need some major work. And I have seen a lot of progress, this was just the thing I needed to really give me that egde to become more of the wife and mother that I want to become. Because seriously... like this guy said, depsite the fact that you may have a good or great marriage, there is always room for improvement! Now that my "Love Tank" is getting topped off, I wanted to share this book with all married people who might be interested. I found it interesting, and have already seen the improvements its made for us by using these simple tips over the past few days to make Kameron feel more loved by me.
